Summary

What’s tall, handsome, with a devilish smile and piercing blue eyes?

My best friend’s older brother that was completely off-limits.

It wouldn’t be such a problem to avoid Jack (and the butterflies he causes to swarm in my belly), except that he was constantly in my space. Or maybe I was in his? It was hard to tell since I was now working for his family.

Either way, we were both adults and knew how to resist temptation.

Or at least I thought we did.

When my apartment got broken into, I found myself with nowhere to go, so Jack offered his spare room. I should have said no, but I had no other options.

You would think that with him being a firefighter, he would know how to put fires out— not start them.

It was a temporary situation, but my resolve has never been great, especially when tested by someone as good-looking and smooth as he was.

I could not stop listening to this book!

I’ve been waiting for this book since we met Capshaw in book one and Samantha did not disappoint!

I loved this book and the spice was chef’s kiss! This age gap, forced proximity, best friend’s brother romance was phenomenal. I loved Capshaw and Kensy I could not get enough of these two!

This book was hilarious and there were so many interesting characters! I had a tough time putting this book down and I the twist was completely unexpected!

Mel Heflin is a fairly new to me narrator and I really enjoyed how they voiced the different characters!

Great listen

I was really pleased when I discovered that this book was Capshaws story,if you have read the other books we have met him before.
He is a bit of a charmer and a ladies man but he just fails at relationships and at love,so I was glad that he finally finds a woman who knocks him off his feet.
Kensy is that woman she is back in town after being away for years, her father passes away and she is now alone. So her best friend Leah(Capshaws sister) invites her to stay with her until she gets back on her feet...So that is what she does moves back to Beaumont creek.
Capshaw is a firefighter but he is on leave to help run the family restaurant buisness while his dad recovers from surgery....But they are so busy and need to hire someone and his sister Leah suggests Kensy...of course she is hired and what follows is two people attracted to eachother but fighting that attraction.
Capshaw is so taken back by Kensy and the woman she has grown up to be,he only remembered the goofy teenager and she is not like that anymore.Kensy is beautiful funny sweet and someone he wants to get to know better.
But Kensy was 10 years younger than him and his sister's best friend so she was basically forbidden, but he just can't help flirting with her.
Kensy had always had a crush on Capshaw but now he was so much more of a man he once was,he was so handsome and sexy...working with him will be torture.
Well the torture becomes worse because Kensy finds herself homeless and Capshaw steps in and lets her stay with him in his guest bedroom....now they are roommates what could go wrong.!!
These two are explosive together once they finally get together and fall quickly in love...Now this is the point when I thought they will get their HEA and everything will fall into place.Everyone accepts them as a couple and things are going well.
But Samantha Baca has other plans because she throws a curve ball into this story that I didn't expect at all, which could really cause problems in their relationship...Between that and Kensy having problems with her absent mum showing up stressing her out. This brand new romance could all just fall apart under the pressure.
I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook which was narrated by Mel Helfin, she reads all characters in this book and does a fabulous job at it...I liked her voice and loved listening to her.
Third Times a Charm by Samantha Baca is another Amazing book in this series and it was a delight to listen to.
Brilliant story loved it.
