Summary
Against all odds, Brad is alive, and surviving. Through the snow, the biting winds, the rain of bullets, and the thin ice, he forges onward, and fights to recover everything he’s lost....
Having made powerful and unhinged enemies, moving unnoticed is becoming more and more difficult, but after finding a small, but enthralling clue, he realizes he may be close to Anna and Sammy’s trail.
As Brad descends further into the madness of the new world, he clings onto hope of finding his loved ones, but a reunion with someone closer to home might be on the cards....
This is the fourth book in the Enter Darkness series.

The weak don't deserve them.
This series has been so enjoyable in large part because of the often unexpected character reactions. But this episode, though continuing the trend, now seems to be focusing more on the crazies. Not that this is an unlikely happenstance after months of post apocalyptic madness. However, the reintroduction of more moderate survivors would be nice.
Still plenty of action, of creative thought processes (and of reflection by Brad on what has happened over the course of the previous three books) and self justification as Brad, now reunited with the father who first built the prepper cabin, continues the search for Anna and the children. Andrew B.Wehrlen again performs his excellent narration.
I was fortunate in being freely gifted a complimentary copy of Thin Ice by the rights holder, after I had requested it via Audiobook Boom. Thank you. It remains a most compulsive serialised story, the individual episodes fairly short and quickly read, the whole area now seeking to be spiralling out of control. The unexpected cliff hanger at the end of this book weightlessness that I will be waiting for book 5 when it appears. Recommended for all post apocalyptic readers, but remember to read it in order.
