Summary
What if it takes a monster to save a kingdom?
I'll never forget the sight of my little sister's lifeless body—or that my rogue magic killed her.
Sorcery like mine is punishable by death. So I live in the shadows, stealing from the corrupt to give to the needy. Maybe a little good can wash the blood from my hands.
It seems like a decent plan... until I try to help a dying noblewoman and somehow steal her soul instead.
Now her ghost is demanding I take up the quest that got her killed: exposing a conspiracy at the royal college to unleash a deadly power on the entire kingdom.
Do I want to infiltrate the cutthroat world of haughty elites? Gods, no. But if I can save the kingdom, I could save my own soul too.
So I'll pose as a refined lady, attending their classes and fancy balls, sneaking and spying like I learned on the streets. But I can't tackle this threat alone. I'll need to win the trust of the dead woman's allies: four arrogant noblemen.
Four damaged yet dangerously enticing men. No matter what they stir in my heart, I can't afford to let them get too close.
Because if they discover the monstrous things I'm capable of, saving my soul will be the least of my worries...
*Thief of Silver and Souls is the first in a new fantasy romance series full of forbidden magic, impossible love, hot damaged men, and a rebellious heroine who's so much more than she imagines.*

This story has great would building and characters. I look forward to seeing how Ivy's relationship with Julita' s men develops.
The narration is wonderful.

What a fantastic start!!
The world building in this book is is incredibly detailed and intrigue! The plot flows at a nice pace with plenty of drama, action, secrets, twists and turns.
Ivy is a great protagonist, witty, fierce and sassy. She steals from the rich and gives to the poor. A nice steady slow burn with 4 hot men who are flawed but so likeable. A very nice job building tension and relationships.
Can't wait to see what happens next with Ivy and her men!
I absolutely love Michelle Sparks as a narrator and she did a phenomenal job and brought this story to life!

A world of magical talents and handsome men
Loved the narration. The story flowed so well I listened late into the night.
Ivy is just trying to be good with the bad hand she has been dealt in life. She is forced to pretend and she then catches the eye of several men.
I love the intregue, you know she will be found out but what will they do? I need to listen to more.

Fantastic World Building
The world building in this book is something else; this isn't just a simple good magic versus bad magic story. It took me a minute to get my head round all the different godlen and how it all works but it definitely held my interest. The magic system is very different; I loved the whole sacrificial element of it and how you get an instant feel for some the characters from their visual descriptions once the book gets going.
I enjoyed Ivy as a Robin Hood character and although the whole book is from her POV, a big part of the engagement for me was the secrets surrounding her character and situation on top of the mystery and conspiracy plots. This is a definite page turner and is very much a paranormal mystery with romance elements. It's slow burn on the romance front and I'd love to see some of the guys POV's in future instalments. However, given the amount of set up and world building in this first book I found having Ivy's single POV easier to follow.
Michelle Sparks is a new to me narrator and I really enjoyed her performance particularly in the scenes with Julita and Ivy. There are a lot of characters in this and several scenes with multiple people and Sparks brought them all to life in such a way it was easy to follow who was who.
Looking forward to book two as when the plot really got going it had so many twists and turns. The action in the last few chapters really took it up a notch for me and I'm excited to see what come next.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR

Amazing, so fantastic!
I loved this book, it was so fantastically addictive, I couldn't put it down. There were some surprising plot twists, full of drama and suspense, and the romance was incredibly steamy. I can't wait for the next book to see what's next in the series.

Fantasy Romance
Thief of Silver and Souls by Eva Chase is a fantasy romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michelle Sparks. This is the first book in the Rites of Possession series.
I absolutely love Eva's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I am really enjoying the slow-burn romance between Ivy, Cas, Alek, Stavros, and Benny. I can't wait to see how it will all play out over the course of the series.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to jump into the next book in the series Games of Death and Desire.
Michelle did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a fantasy romance, slow burn romance, or why choose romance.
