About this listen
A heart is a dangerous thing to steal.
From New York Times best-selling author Lexi Ryan, Cruel Prince meets A Court of Thorns and Roses in this sexy, action-packed fantasy about a girl who is caught between two treacherous faerie courts and their dangerously seductive princes.
Brie would do anything before making a deal with the Fae; death is better than their vicious schemes. But when her sister is taken by the sadistic king of the Unseelie court, there is nothing Brie wouldn't do to get her back - including making a deal with the king himself to steal three magical relics from the rival Seelie court.
Gaining unfettered access to the Seelie court is easier said than done. Brie's only choice is to pose as a potential bride for the Seelie Prince, Ronan - a prince who's not quite as wicked as she once thought. Unwilling to let her heart distract her, she accepts help from a band of Unseelie misfits with their own secret agenda. But as Brie spends time with their mysterious leader, Finn, she finds herself struggling to resist his seductive charm.
Caught between two dangerous courts, Brie must decide who to trust with her loyalty...and with her heart.

Spellbinding
I was looking for another audio book to captivate me and take me from reality, and this book did just that. The narration was all in all easy for me to get lost in to. Has typical tropes but written in a way that still leaves you guessing. I enjoyed this book thoroughly.

Terrible Performance
I honestly don't usually write reviews (even though I loved to read them) but the voice artist's British accent is so bad it made me not want to finish the book. It's especially hard as a Brit to listen to her butcher pronunciations- hire a British artist instead if you're going to make 80% of the characters have this accent.
The plot is fine, the romances seem forced and I don't personally like the love triangle. There doesn't seem to be any real stakes.
I had high hopes and enjoyed the first few chapters but overall its not for me.

Good story line but bit silly
This book has a good story line, I may have enjoyed it more if i read instead of listened to it, the narrator can be a bit over the top sometimes always sounding like she reading out poetry or anguishing text. The romantic scenes are quite cringe, but if you can get passed that i really enjoyed the story line and i am looking forward to the next book.

Annoying narrator
The story itself is very good but I can’t stand the narration, only because all of the men in the book have an English accent for some reason?? Very irritating and ruins the characters for me. I’ll be buying the book.

A poor mans ACOTAR
I hated the lead character, she was weak and whiny and this was amplified by the narrator. All she did was whine about everything, not the strong female lead I was expecting based on other reviews claiming it was better than ACOTAR.. The narrator has a terrible fake British accent which just made all the male fae sound...well...fake.
I really wanted to like this book, I made it to the end in the hopes that it would just get better. It certainly had the foundation to be a great story, but the constant ‘poor me’ just got tiresome.
