Summary

This audiobook includes the entire Zulu Virus Chronicles series in one boxset. Tons of chilling, post-apocalyptic thriller action and suspense.

Something insidious has arrived - right in the heartland of our nation, turning neighbor against neighbor!.

Dr. Lauren Hale, a new hospital resident, is nearly killed by a raving mad emergency room patient, in a senseless, unprovoked attack.

Officer David Olson, veteran cop and former Marine, returns from a father-son camping trip to discover that his ex-wife has vanished under bizarre circumstances, and his police department is on the verge of collapse.

Jack and Emma Harper, a young, upwardly mobile couple, find their hip city neighborhood rapidly descending into madness.

Dr. Eugene Chang, a research scientist for a major pharmaceutical company, makes a shocking discovery that might explain the spreading wave of illness and violence gripping the city. Eric Larsen, leader of a top-secret, rapid-response unit, circles high above the Midwest, in an unmarked military transport. Mission still unknown, his team waits to parachute into the night.

Within 24 hours, complete strangers from different walks of life will be forced to join together to survive the living nightmare that has been unleashed on their city - and their country.

This is their story.

Boring

Not a lot happens.
It ended up just being back ground noise for me, as the book just did not draw me in at all.

Started great. Ended Terribly.

First book: 5 Stars
Second book: 3 Stars
Third book: 1 Star

First book had everything. Really enjoyed the character development.

Second book lost its way. Really struggled with development and the storyline turned into a cat and mouse scenario.

Third book was awful. The character development from the first book was wasted. Some of the main characters you just don’t hear from.. what was the point of them being in the whole storyline?!

There is no mention of the ‘Scaries’ (Zombies) at all during this book. And the ending... pointless - you have no idea why the whole outbreak happened.

It seemed like the author had to write three books and gave up after the first book and rushed the last two.

I would avoid - better options out there

Narrator needs shooting.

Terrible narration, story has potential but the voices are awful almost like a 10 year old was asked to make a funny voice. The technical military jargon is boring, everything has an acronym that's explained every time. Either use the acronym and assume its common knowledge or use the civilian version, an example was when they used the acronym ifak individual first aid kit, just say "his first aid kit" Then giving the model number of the shot gun, just say shotgun, nobody is going to be impressed that the author googled military hardware, it's information overload that detracts from the flow of the story.

Awful !!!

Awful book, this is an overload of meaningless triva ,. Used 15 words where 1 would have done, and the continual use of " herpes simplex encephalitis "gets really irritating, real quick. I lasted till the narrator voiced Gary the security gaurd, who sounds like yogi bear !!! And don't get me started on Joshuas moaning. Sorry this isn't for me .

Redundant exposition is redundant.

So much of these books is just needless drivel about details and equipment specifications that don’t add anything or even relate to the story. Hours and hours worth of it. And then the actual big conspiracy reveal gets almost no detail. Extremely frustrating.

The narration is terrible - cartoon voices, an odd cadence, and frequent mispronunciations.
