Summary

From the streets of Edwardian London to the corridors of a near-infinite library in the distant future, a single book holds the key to the fate of life on Earth.

Some believe it predicts our future - and the apocalypse - with unnerving accuracy. Others will stop at nothing to destroy it and will chase it from one side of the universe to the other, from a country house in the Roaring '20s to the casinos of Mars and from 221B Baker Street to the terrifying desert world of Sisyphus IX....

Featuring Abby and Zara, Sherlock Holmes, Dorian Gray, Iris Wildthyme, Vienna Salvatori and Bernice Summerfield, The Worlds of Big Finish brings together some of Big Finish's best-loved characters in an adventure spanning thousands of years!

This release includes a bonus documentary, Round the Worlds, where director Scott Handcock leads a roundtable discussion with writer and cast about this special adventure, plus a selection of outtakes from recording.

Directed by Scott Handcock.

loads of fun

I wouldn't recommend this as an introduction to Big Finish originals by any means. However you don't need to know all the characters to follow the story. I'm a big fan of the Confessions of Dorian Gray and I've heard a fair bit of Sherlock and Bennie Summerfield so I was well set up to follow the stories. Episode one is the only story I struggled to get into but as each installment is only a half hour its not long before the plot gets going. It's a big silly interplanetary adventure and while not all the different characters interact directly with one another, their actions bleed through to each new story. its a blast and really rewarding if you've been a big finish listener for a while.

Storyline could be better

The cast were great. The story was not the best but it was spaced out amazingly, however the ending wasn't great because there wasn't much drama or a any type of twist

Loved it

Very enjoyable, loved the Iris story the most, light hearted and fun, nice to hear Holmes mentioned in it too.
