About this listen
At first glance I probably seem like any good-looking guy in their late twenties. I have an obscene amount of confidence, a tattooed body sculpted by the Nordic gods, and I love the ladies as much as they love me. If I'm not base jumping or car racing, I'm chasing other devious thrills with the woman of the week. And that's fine if you're the average single guy.
But I'm not the average single guy. I'm Crown Prince Magnus of Norway, and my latest scandal just landed my entire royal family in hot water. Now the only way the monarchy can save face is for me to smarten up - publicly. If I don't, I'll no longer be heir apparent to the throne. So it's either I abdicate my future role as King or...I get married. To a blue-blooded stranger.
Enter Princess Isabella of the tiny country of Liechtenstein. Quiet, intelligent, and uniquely beautiful, Ella doesn't like this arrangement any more than I do, and she's not afraid to show it. She says I'm a womanizer, that I don't take anything seriously, that my ego should be taken down a few pegs, and I think she aims to make me miserable for the rest of my life.
But even as our arranged marriage becomes a war of wit and words, I'm determined to break through Ella's prim and proper façade to find the wild, sexual, and risk-taking woman underneath. I want to uncover the Queen inside her. The only question is-will she let me?
Contains mature themes.

Great addition the series
I read this book last and it didn't matter at all. The entire series is fun, all these European royal get up to all sorts.
Spice, family issues, and romance makes for a great series.
Amazing narration as well.

Really Wanted To Finish The Audio, But I Couldn't.
I was really enjoying the book until we got to Elle's pov. I can't lie her voice and connotation started to become real annoying after a while, so I couldn't continue the audio. It's a shame cause I really enjoyed Magnus' voice. Off to read my physical copy..

Couldn’t finish
I loved the book but couldn’t finish the audible. The female narrator was annoying with stilted intonation in just amount every sentence, and ‘cookie monster’ sounding male voices. I just couldn’t stay in the story.

Political Imposition
I wanted to read a romantic royal chick lit story for a bit of easy escapism. When the author's political views start to intrude, even if they mirror my own, you've lost me.

Struggled to finish it
First of all there were several cases of the wrong word being said - saying ‘poignant’ instead of ‘pointed’, for example. Either the author isn’t great with the English language, or the narrators got confused and read what they thought the word was rather than what it actually was - whatever the case, proof reading and an editor should have caught the multiple silly mistakes. I’m sure people would do this for free if money was the reason for not going through this process.
The characters weren’t great. The hero had potential and I liked what the author was going for, but by the end the heroine just seemed like a boring immature girl with only a tenuous loyalty to the hero, and she’s way too influenced by other people. Felt zero emotional connection to this story.
The plot was a mixture of uninspired and predictable, with stereotypical characters and pantomime situations. Monologuing villains was the last straw for me.
The dirty talk was awful. Don’t know if it was the words themselves or the bad narration but I found myself rolling my eyes and feeling like I was having a window into a couple’s relationship that just was not sexy.
Stephanie Wyles was such an annoying narrator with her unnatural intonation and distractingly bad male voices too. Jeremy York’s narration was actually better in this book than in many other books I’ve heard him in so at least I could wait until his chapters (he wasn’t trying to be dark and mysterious as he often is in other books).
