About this listen
The grumpy billionaire accuses me of stealing, has me fired, and now wants me to be his temporary wife. I think he's lost his mind.
Easton Calloway needs a wifey, pronto, and he chooses me to temporarily fill the position. While I want to tell him to eff off, I can't walk away from the temptation. So, I do what any broke actress living in New York City would do, and I agree to the terms and conditions.
It should be easy: a year of marriage, a cushy penthouse in the city, and a spending allowance. After three hundred sixty-five days, I'll receive divorce papers and a check in the mail. All I have to do is pretend we're happily married without falling in love.
Doable, right? Wrong.
The Wife Situation is a billionaire, age gap, marriage of convenience romance with a happily ever after! Its a stand-alone with open-door scenes. Included: a rich AF hero who's a professional on the streets, but a bad boy in the sheets and isn't afraid to call his little heartbreaker my wife.

Great Story, Characters & Narration🎧Enthralling & Delightful!
Lyra Parish pens another fantastic romance novel, putting her own unique spin on the billionaire romance and marriage of convenience tropes. The story drew me right in, grabbing my attention and holding it captive the entire time. Lexi, a small town Texas girl, moved to NYC to pursue her acting dreams, but hasn’t landed a gig yet, so she is working in a luxurious hotel to make ends meet. Billionaire Easton Calloway leaves strict “no disturb” instructions whenever he stays at that hotel and Lexi knew this but, but he was not supposed to have checked in yet. Except that isn’t the reason she gets fired, it was worse, Easton accuses her of stealing his watch, which was not true, but she had it in her possession and Mr. Hothead did not give her a chance to explain. Easton realizes after that he overreacted, and he can not get her out of his head, but fate was not done with these two and he would run into her again. These two were great together and, for each other, despite coming from two different worlds and being opposites. She differed from all the women he met, stood her ground with him, and gave him a run for his money. Easton is interested in taking over the family’s corporate empire and when he learns about a marriage clause, he needs to find a wife, and his brother, Weston, steps in and suggests Lexi. I loved all the layers of this story, and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, witty dialogue, charm, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn but worth the wait romance. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Lyra Parish, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Amy Hall and Marcio Catalano were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, and they did an amazing job portraying them, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role. Hall’s take on Lexi was spot-on, grasping every aspect of her personality and demeanor, from her sweetness to her sass. Catalano nailed it as Easton, showcasing his personality and demeanor perfectly, from his grumpy side to his caring side. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters, giving each their own unique voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. These two set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions, and have you feeling them all. They are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates the already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

The Wife Situation
Easton Calloway - oh I definitely would take him.
Grumpy billionaire in search of a wife as soon as possible.
Lexi, an actress, working in a hotel, lost the belief in love.
As soon as these two met, they have an instant connection.
Their lovestory was kind of predictable, but the twists inbetween were not expected and I loved it.
AND I definitely didn't expect the last epilogue.
I enjoyed every word I read and I'm looking forward to the next book.
And it was great to be back in Valentine for a while.

Marriage of convenience
“Sometimes, real boyfriends—scratch that, husbands—are better than book boyfriends.”
Lexi and Easton meet at the hotel were she works, but he gets her fired because of an misunderstanding.
But later they make an agreement to get married so that he can become the CEO of the family company.
I liked that they took the time to date and know each other better before the wedding.
Even of they are opposites that attract, they still have things in common, like the love for old cars.
The side characters are great too and there are some Easter eggs from another books.
Initially I read the book and today I listened to the audiobook. The narrators are doing a good job with the characters and I especially enjoyed Amy Hall’s chapters.
Can’t wait for the 2nd book because I already like Weston a lot.
Thank you Lyra for providing me a copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
