A little boring
The narration was like someone reading the news and the story was quite average. I think it was a wasted credit

Narration let’s it down
The story is slow to start but gets interesting 2/3rds of the way through.
I didn’t enjoy the narration, the character of Grace in particular. She kept making sentences sound like questions and her accent was slipping which made it hard to focus on the story. I think she may have recorded her section remotely as there was a vast difference in quality compared to the other voices.
Unfortunately this book is not the usual high quality Audible audiobook.

Um...
A bit disappointed by Heidi Parks, her books are usually much better. Narrators perform well though.

Good story, enjoyed it!
Story was really good and well thought out. A little bit different to the crime thrillers I normally end up reading but it was good. The characters were easy to slip into the minds of.
I feel like some of the narrators were a little robotic at times and sometimes read sentences in tones that turned them into questions when they weren’t meant to be, it made it quite distracting from the the story initially but you do get used it.

Positives and negative’s
Okay- I’m going to be doing a list of positives and negative’s. A positive would be that it was a good story and good plot- however a negative would be that it was drawn out with unpleasant characters who are hard to relate to. A positive would be it kept me listening to the end which is more than I can say for some stories.

Great story line
A good story, kept me in suspense. Found the narrator a little annoying. One was a little robotic sounding and the recording quite tinny and the other a weird thing where she dragged lots of words and went up at the end of the sentence. Think would be better to read the book rather than listen to audio in this case but good!!

Slow burn fizzles out
I found it slow and repetitive, I imagine it was being dragged out to build suspense but it didn’t work for me.
The characters were a bit immature as if still at school rather than in their late 30s. I hoped for an exciting twist at the end.
Narrator seemed to forget the accents being used for some characters - the therapist and Graham in particular! Sometimes the narration was so robotic I wondered if it was actually a human or not, other times it was breathy and panicky like someone anxiously narrating an M&S Food advert.

Only just started this but sending it back as the poor narration is spoiling the story
I don’t understand when they use actors, mainly to read stories, why it’s so hard for them to ‘act’ them.
