Brilliant from start to finish..

I found this story to be great at keeping my interest. It is easy to immerse yourself in the story and just go with it all. There were certain twists that were easy to spot but overall I lived it.

Very disturbing subject matter and the descriptions at time are pretty horrific.

The reading was excellent, it moved at pace with some good voicing which kept my attention.

Would recommend this, it's awesome.

Interesting new author

I was looking for new author to listen to. Interesting plot but different plot lines not fully explained before moving on. Narrator was good but needs to separate his characters voices better. Sometimes very confusing listening to dialogue to know which character is speaking Overall worth a listen.

one of the best books of its kind i have listened

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I wouild if they liked criminal & thrillers, because this is certainly a thriller from start to finish.
But you realy need to listen very carefully. I have had to go back to listen to parts I missed,or you loose the thread of the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Whisperer?

The story gose up & down all the time so it is difficult to pick one bit.

What about Saul Reichlin’s performance did you like?

I have listened to this narrator before, he always manages to change character very well so you don't notice a man playing a woman, excelent,

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It's about evil and children, who would not be moved about the whole situation.
It's about the people who try to stop this evil, and how they are affected.

Any additional comments?

Although this is about the worst of crimes, and at first i was not sure I wanted to listen to it ,but as I have said it is also about the characters who work on these situations, and how it affects them.

Great story

I didnt like the narrating. It just didn't fit with the content and general atmosphere of the story.

Unusual and eery.

Incredibly strong atmosphere, gets under your skin... Can't stop listening, no idea where he's taking you with the narrative. Surprising and unsettling.

The whisperer

Although the story was well structured there were too many coincidences and the ending was disappointing

Grim

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Less verbiage

Has The Whisperer put you off other books in this genre?

Certainly by this author

Have you listened to any of Saul Reichlin’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Fine

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Boredom

Any additional comments?

Took this on holiday with me and was worried it wouldn't last out.I needn't have done. I took a week to finish it by sheer willpower. The story was unbelievable, the unnecessary
descriptive passages just felt like padding.
