About this listen
Now a Netflix Original movie, starring Leighton Meester, streaming globally.
Miles from home. Trust no one. Suspect everyone.
Orla and Kate have been best friends forever. Together they’ve faced it all—be it Orla’s struggles as a new mother or Kate’s messy divorce. And whatever else happens in their lives, they can always look forward to their annual weekend away.
This year, they’re off to Lisbon: the perfect flat, the perfect view, the perfect itinerary. And what better way to kick things off in style than with the perfect night out?
But when Orla wakes up the next morning, Kate is gone. Brushed off by the police and with only a fuzzy memory of the night’s events, Orla is her friend’s only hope. As she frantically retraces their steps, Orla makes a series of shattering discoveries that threaten everything she holds dear. Because while Lisbon holds the secret of what happened that night, the truth may lie closer to home....
A twisty holiday read for fans of The Holiday and Date Night.

Easy to listen to and full of excitement
Loved this - my favourite by this author I think. I loved the narration and thought the reader did the different accents well. I like the character of Constantin best! You think you know where it’s going - then you don’t. Yes it’s far fetched but I like that! Who wants dull and ordinary when you can have chaos in a book?!

Couldn’t stop listening 🤗😁
First of all the narrator was AMAZING!!!!👏🏽💯💯 she was SO good and made the story even better because of how well she done accents and male voices, brilliant and she deserves a huge well done!💯👏🏽😁 this is the kind of story line i LOVE so i was hooked from start to finish, well i did kind of lose a bit interest near the end but i did keep going as i had to know how it all worked out??? I do wish I hadn’t read the other review someone left as they spoiled it with what they said☹️ so if you haven’t read other comments then becareful as it spoils it slightly ☹️ but I REALLY enjoyed this so much and like i said i was REALLY REALLY hooked with this book and i def recommend this for sure! Loved the story line, narrator was AMAZING and I actually visualised what the place was like, the rooms, scenery everything! So well done to the author AND the narrator for being able to get you actually visualising everything... right down to what EVERY room was like🤔😁👍🏽👏🏽 thank you audible I SERIOUSLY couldn’t live without it now!! It’s BRILLIANT, i will ALWAYS be an audible member!!💯👍🏽 thank you to all for another FABULOUS book! 😁💯👏🏽❤️Xxxxxxxxxx

Twists and turns, plus a great performance
Absorbing escapist thriller. Really well performed and kept me hooked in these locked-down times.

Very listenable
The first two thirds were pretty good - well written and not obvious where things were going. Final third got a bit ridiculous, which is normal for this genre, but dragged on with too many increasingly improbable twists and made the main character less likable. In the end I wasn't too bothered what happened to her, which is lucky as I didn't actually understand the very end bit. Still enjoyed it though, and the narrator was good.

Enthralling!
One of the most captivating books I have listened to in a while - unusual and exciting plot that’ll keep you hooked to the very last sentence.
Fantastic narration too!

Great thriller
I really enjoyed listening to the story as it was a great plot with great plot twists. An easy read that kept me entertained. I just found the performance slightly annoying (so sorry to Helen Keeley) I think perhaps Orla as a character is meant to be frustrating but I found her voice shrill and it portrayed the character as helpful when her actions showed she was really the opposite. I get fed up with books where the lead female is portrayed as panicky and emotional all the time. Kate’s characterisation was brilliant though and I could really imagine her.
