About this listen
When Rhys returned to his hometown, he thought he’d escaped his abusive cultist husband, but shortly after settling back into Oceanport, he discovers he’s pregnant - from his ex. Determined to give his baby a good life and to do it without his ex’s knowledge, Rhys needs a job. Luckily,
his brother’s wedding planner needs a manny. Which sounds perfect, until Rhys shows up for the interview and he realizes his new boss used to be his secret childhood crush.
Ethan spends his life planning everyone else’s happy ever afters - too bad he can’t make that work for his own life. He certainly never planned for his wife to walk out on him, or to end up the single father of two boys, yet somehow that’s where he’s found himself. But if it’s hard on him, it’s worse for his sons. Emotionally wounded, 3-year-old Caleb’s struggled in every daycare Ethan’s tried, and 12-year-old Nathan’s chased off every nanny Ethan’s hired in between. Ethan needs someone special, who can bridge the growing gap between him and the boys and make them whole again.
In Rhys, Ethan finally finds that someone. But as he watches Rhys slowly knit his family back together, he finds himself falling for the courageous young omega. Only, Rhys is still healing himself from his last relationship, and so is Ethan. It looks hopeless. But Rhys is done running, and Ethan has a plan - can they create their own happy ending from the ashes of their past?

Pleasant, cute, very likeable!
Rhys is pregnant and back in Oceanport after leaving his deeply religious bigoted husband. He takes a job as a manny to look after single father, Ethan’s adorable kids. Rhys has never been good socially and I loved his uncertain, socially awkward but very kind personality. Since Ethan’s wife had left him, I was expecting a straight-to-gay or GFY journey, but Ethan didn’t struggle for a second. I liked the “revenge of the exes” storylines, with both Rhys and Ethan struggling to disentangle themselves. Overall: pleasant, cute, and very likeable. 🎧 John Solo does a great job narrating this series.

So sweet and entertaining
This was a nice and relaxing listen. I enjoyed all of the characters, the brothers, the children and the pets. It warmed my heart when a down on his luck Omega could find happiness again. Not all of the Alphas were arrogant and selfish, some were kind and caring like Ethan. Rhyce was lovely, and he wove his magic on the whole troubled family , making everyone love him , even the troubled teenager and infant. It was a lovely family led story.
I really enjoyed the narration, it was so good , John Solo can do different characters in a story very well.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Lovely manny to lover story!
An omega leaving his alpha and an abusive environment finds solace in a single dad, who can’t seem to keep a nanny for his two kids. The circumstances are complicated but both characters find their footing and with each other’s love and support they form a family. I enjoyed the end very much, it was the perfect hea with family all around.

Sweet and great narrated
This was my first book by Ann-Kathrin Byrde and it won't be my last. I liked the Omega Rhys coming back to Oceanport after he left his husband. In search of a job, he meets Alpha Ethan, whose wife has left him with two children.
In order to balance his job and the children, he is looking for a nanny, which is not so easy, because many left Ethan after a few hours.
The characters were lovingly portrayed, especially I liked the children, who behave very realistically. But also the pets are cute.
If you are looking for a romantic Alpha and Omage story, this is the right place. John Solo did a really good job with his narration and I enjoyed listen to him.

Low angst, very sweet
This is a great story if you are looking for a fun, romantic, fluffy listen. John Solo does a fantastic job with the narration. There is very little angst, lots of family values, other couples in love, and friendship in the small town of Oceanport. I enjoyed how the children were portrayed as real and troublemakers, adding to the story instead of being angels.
