About this listen
“It’s a dangerous time for a Witch.”
The scars left behind by the Blood Massacre of 1888 still run deep through the Witches of Britain a hundred and thirty-five years later. Queen Mara, who led the Witches to victory on that harrowing night, must once again face her old enemy as well as a mysterious group of rebels with seemingly no motive. Tired and ready to retire, Queen Mara wants nothing more than to pass the baton on to her only living heir...
...too bad Lumen doesn’t want to be Queen.
With only a few weeks left until she turns twenty-one and must officially claim the title of Heir to the Blood Crown, Lumen is determined to spend her last moments of freedom doing what she loves best – sneaking out to walk among mortals and getting outrageously drunk at the upcoming Samhain Ball. Fate has a different idea. As a night of debauchery drags on, Lumen is embroiled in a mystery that will rewrite history, shed light on the recent attacks on Witches, and send her on a path to discover the true culprit behind her parents’ murders.
A hundred and thirty-five years in the past, two brothers are the only reason that the ignorant Witches of Gallows End haven’t been slayed in their entirety. Though the Grave brothers’ names may never make it into the history books, that doesn’t mean they’ll be entirely forgotten.

Cosy fun read for spooky season
The Ways of Wayward Witches was such a fun time, it had everything you could want in a book - slow burn romance, witches, time travel, vampires, magic, and much more!
The book was well paced, funny, and immersive, and I can’t wait to reread this for many spooky seasons to come.
I received a review copy of this audiobook, and I leave this review voluntarily.

Well worth a credit - super story, super narrator
Evelyn King is a talented writer. Her storyline is well-crafted, well-paced, well-written and humorous. Her witching tale is engaging - and thrilling.
The story is Audible enriched because it is brilliantly brought to life by Jane Wing, the narrator. Her voice has a gorgeous velvety purr AND she expertly nails exactly how the word structure and emphasis of each sentence should sound. Her performance is appropriately nuanced, lively – and top quality.
GREAT NARRATOR CHOICE, AUDIBLE.
THE SOUND QUALITY IS EXCELLENT AND JANE WING GIVES A TEN-STAR PERFORMANCE.
MORE KING ..... AND ..... MORE WING - PLEASE.

not my usual but I got hooked!
I usually read sifi or fantasy but I was told to listen to this book and I'm glad I did. the story was surprisingly fantastic, the structure and way the author took you on the journey was remarkable. It wasn't long before I before I became heavily invested in the characters and the world.
the story had a nice verity of world building, character development, action, romance and even a few parts to get you hot under the collar!
bonus points for the great and sometimes hilarious pop culture references!
I'm glad I was told to listen to this book and now I can't wait for the next book to be released, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!

Love it
What truly sets this audiobook apart is its ability to mix cozy, witchy vibes with darker, more serious themes. It's a story that doesn't shy away from the complexities of its world, yet maintains an air of enchantment and wonder. The foreshadowing is expertly done, leading to satisfying revelations and plot twists.
