Summary

When banished Princess Maia is captured by her father and threatened with execution, it appears that all is lost...until the people rise in rebellion against their king. Suddenly, the cast-aside royal finds herself crowned the first Queen of Comoros. But enemies appear on all sides as her father's conniving supporters assemble a new army against the fledgling ruler. While Maia struggles to keep the peace within her own walls, she rushes to form historical alliances with her neighboring kingdoms against an impending invasion of the ruthless Naestors—led by the cruel Corriveaux—who will destroy anyone Maia loves in order to ruin her kingdom and prevent the mastons from regaining power.

Realizing that Muirwood Abbey is once again her only hope for survival, Maia gathers her people there for protection. When she discovers an adversary greater than she's ever known, she must use all the magic, strength, and wisdom gained from her life's trials to prevent the Void that would bring destruction to herself, her true love, and the entire kingdom.

I adore Jeff Wheeler’s books

Having listened to this series a second time, I think it’s safe to say that the more I listen to Jeff Wheeler’s works, the more I enjoy them.
The links between worlds and series is particularly fun but it’s the quotes and morality that makes these books so uplifting.

Well, This is a Fine Kettle of Fish!

Maia and her friends have been captured by her father's men and are about to be executed. However, it is not her, or her friends, that suffer that fate.

Maia has become a Maston and gathers alot of followers to her side, but the worst is yet to come and they all have to overcome it.

Although I found this book to be a little pious at times, I enjoyed this trilogy immensely.

finished

A friend recommended Jeff Wheeler's Muirwood books, and I'm so glad she did, what a rollercoaster of a story! I will be a little bit lost when I have heard everything available by him, meanwhile, I can start another trilogy by him and be lost in great story telling while I get on with mundane jobs. Hurray for audiobooks :D

Genuinely pleasing to read

This trilogy has many ups and downs woven throughout the story but is genuinely up lifting at the end. I would recommend any of the authors books, I've never been disappointed.

Fantastic

An excellent series of books I would highly recommend. Although slow to start the story builds and grips you from the heart.

Heart in your mouth stuff!

What an amazing conclusion to an amazing trilogy. Trips and trails, gripping and heart rending. Characters so real and familiar you feel related to them! Great penmanship. Thank you.
