Hugely enjoyable
I loved this book of short stories. I have recently started to read WInifred Holtby but also enjoyed the other Authors.
Very different stories taking us back to a time long gone.

An odd collection that isn't just short stories!
This seems to have been pieced together randomly, unless you know the stories already there is no clue as to what each story is or who wrote it, and in two of the cases they aren't even short stories!
The six pieces here are:
The Garden Party – Katherine Mansfield
A Pair of Silk Stockings – Kate Chopin
Extract from 'Mrs Dalloway' – Virginia Woolf (seemingly chosen at random, since shorn of its context in the novel it just becomes a little meaningless).
The Singing Lesson – Katherine Mansfield
Extract from 'South Riding' – Winifred Holtby - what appears to be a 1940s/50s radio adaptation rather than the original text
The Yellow Wallpaper - Charlotte Perkins Gilman
Don't waste a credit, there are better versions of all of these (excellent) stories available elsewhere on Audible
