About this listen
In the search for a cure to a viral pandemic, scientist Liz Meyer discovers something far more deadly...Vampires exist.
And what’s even more amazing, they’re immune to the virus.
Liz is both afraid and intrigued. Gifted with dreams that reveal the future, she sees how bad the pandemic will become. A blood sample could be the solution to a cure.
Sexy vampire Ryan awakens a desire within Liz, something she's never felt before. Too bad the rest of the coven want nothing more than to feast on her blood.
Can Liz get the blood she needs to find a cure? Or will it be her blood that’s taken instead?
Please note: If you're a die-hard believer in the MAGA movement, for the love of God don't buy this audiobook. You will not be amused.
Fans of The Vampire Diaries series and authors like Ivy Smoak, Richelle Mead, and Bella Forest will love this sci-fi take on vampires.
Kat Stiles is a USA Today best-selling author, and huge fan of both sci-fi and urban fantasy. Nearly all of her stories include a super power of some kind and a strong, funny heroine. If you like The Vampire Cure, check out her other series:

Very good
I really liked this book. It was very well told and had very nice descriptions as well. I absolutely love Liz, I understand that she felt alone in the world after skipping so many grades and then working for a secret company and barely getting out to socialize with anyone other than her coworkers. Listening to the symptoms almost sounded like what was happening now in the real world but with vampires. And the president in the book was almost like making fun of our president, it was quite comical.
Although sad, they did make it realistic and show how things like this does hit close to home by having her father get it, and he already had COPD which made it deadly to him. She works really hard at her job just to get railroaded by a sexist president. Can she find a cure in time for her dad? And can she do it without putting herself in harms way? you will have to listen (read) it yourself to find out, I won't spoil it.
This narrator is great, this is the second time I've listened to her work and I'm really starting to enjoy what she is capable of while she narrorates. I would definitely look for her work in the future.

Intriguing premise!
The Vampire Cure is a fantastic start to a great paranormal series; it's wonderfully written and well-plotted with an intriguing premise. The cast is terrific; they're well-developed, diverse, and appealing; it was easy to get invested in the story. Liz was my favourite, she is well-rounded, dedicated and strong-minded. The storyline is fast-paced, interesting, entertaining, with added romance and steam.
Clare Silver did an excellent job bringing the characters and the story to life. I enjoyed both the writing and the narration. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series

Great start to new series
The plot was fast paced and action packed, with some great twists that kept me on the edge of my seat, completely hooked. The characters were memorable and the steamy romance just enough, I can't wait for the next audiobook. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Great read, Vampiric twist on pandemic
What a great read, I loved the protagonist Liz Meyer from the very start; she is a gifted scientist, who works for a private laboratory researching cures for various diseases. She was fast tracked through education and has always been a bit of a loner by circumstance and focuses on her work. She becomes aware of a virus, which will lead to a pandemic and starts immediately researching it for a cure, knowing she has to get the jump on her ambitious colleague Frederik.
Another person in her way is the owner of the company, Ronald Lamp, who also happens to be the President.
Liz is however not alone any more, she is aided by her, worldly, sassy research assistant Amy, who happens to have a knack with computers and befriends her at the same time.
Add to her load the worry about an ill father; disturbing dreams, that seem to come true; a creepy vampire stalker and the temptation of a hot, sexy vampire and you have one fabulous book full of action, paranormal suspense and steamy romance.
The basis of the story is a very interesting twist on the covid pandemic; mixing it up with modern day vampires and a cheeky, irreverent and thinly veiled parody on a certain, now ex US President... and let’s face it there is plenty of material to draw from.
The facilities and procedures in a research lab and hospital seem well researched and laid out and all the characters are well thought out and believable.
Kat Stiles always has a wonderful way of portraying her female protagonists as intelligent, strong and forthright, whilst having a vulnerable, at times insecure side.
The narrator Clare Silver is perfect for the book and enhanced the listening experience and I hope she will be narrating the whole series.
I’m looking forward to the next book...

Scary how this mirrors reality
Scary how this mirrors reality in certain aspects. With a good storyline and good characters this is an enjoyable book. A brilliant performance from Clare.

Vampires and a pandemic
I really enjoyed this book.
Liz is a very dedicated scientist, combined with skipping a few grades and her fathers heath - she has become a workaholic but very lonely.
Throw in a world pandemic and the realisation that vampires actually exist and Liz is thrown into a whole new world.
There was quite a bit of science in this book, explaining the experiments, but nothing you couldn't follow easily.
I loved the way the president was portrayed, it did make me giggle and I'm sure it was not a million miles from recent reality.
I wanted to see more of Ryan and Liz- I didn't feel like he was around enough for them to have formed a lasting connection, definitely more of an instant attraction.
Narrator Clare Silver does an amazing job. She manages to put emotion and feeling into the characters, not just reading out the words.

Just what I love
Warning: Cliffhanger, not an HEA
If you too read the author’s warning in the blurb and laughed then you’ll also eat this book up. This is essentially the early days of the panini with a thinly veiled DT caricature and will definitely not be for everyone. It was a fun, short listen, but my only complaint is that it ends with a major cliffhanger and no other audiobooks available.
Narration: New to me narrator, but I think she did an excellent job.

this book (series) has many parallels to recent events with a vampire twist. An interesting concept.
