A terrific experience
Serkis has done a fantastic job in narrating the trilogy. This was a great experience as a first time reader of the trilogy. Serkis does a fantastic job in creating the atmosphere with each character distinctive voices that are connected to the movies and, of course, you cannot forget the performance of Gollum. I grew to enjoy this book while listening and I am looking forward to listening to The Return of the King.

A classic reborn
Hwving reaf the nmbooks countkess times and seen the films it needed a lot to make this stsnd out. zOme element dkes that. Just a great vocal performance. Especially, of course, Gollum...

Another great listen, great performance, great book. Treebeard chapters were a bit tough to get through. On to return of the king next!

No better choice for a narrator
Finally, Andy Serkis gets to play Gollum again and he's still in fine form. It's something special to hear the actual voice from the films voicing the same character here. He also does a great job telling the story and playing the other parts and having to add more voices than Fellowship. He keeps knocking it out of the park when it comes to these audio books. Already looking forward to starting book 3.

Rob inglis was fantastic , let’s not forget this but and I had the added chance of been Gollum and more and brings a new way of telling this entire saga.. it’s Brillant

A Really Wonderful Listen!
I finished The Two Towers last night, having already listened to the first in the Trilogy, and immediately start on The Return of the King. I am completely blown-away by the performance of Andy Serkis. I had not listened to any of his narrations before and was quite new to his work. I was entranced by his reading. Anyone who loves The Hobbits and the Trilogy must listen!
You will not be disappointed I promise.
In case anyone was misled by my wording above, thinking they were all by Andy Serkis, I was saying that anyone who loves J.R.R Tolkiens stories will love these productions.
