About this listen

Books 3 and 4 in the tudor mystery trials series. A Queen's Mercenary and A Queen's Knight.

Get the next two compelling books in the series. Richard and Jack are set on a mission to sell a stolen arms shipment to the Knight's of St John - how badly wrong could it go? Follow their adventures through Europe and the Malta to the Island fortress of the Knights.

The backdrop to their own struggle is the political tension in England. Mary I, convinced God has given her the task of returning England to the true faith, sends the Protestant reformers a stark and violent message.

Jack finds himself in a difficult and dangerous situation. His patience and his loyalty are sorely tested.

Catherine finds herself uncomfortably close to Elizabeth and is forced to accompany her to court, a court full of watchful eyes and whispers. Christopher Morley soon makes the most of this opportunity, pressing Catherine to embroil herself further in his schemes.

The Tudors

Just like the previous box set, absolutely absorbing. Well written and narrated. Excellent listen, a must follow on to the previous box set.

Fascinating trip to medieval Venice & Malta

These books continued the great writing of the earlier ones. The narrator was excellent at bringing the characters to life. I particularly enjoyed the descriptions of Venice and Malta in this time frame, having been to both I was fascinated. I'm still rooting for the success of the mission and am interested in how the political intrigue continues in Mary's reign. Especially as we all know how it ends.

spellbinding

The author and Narrator combination are stunning, bringing all the characters and surrounding story to life. The Narrator's voices for characters have you completely absorbed in the twists and turns of the Authors story. His best voice is Jack with the exact amount of emotion and gravel. Moving on to next book

Disappointed.

The first box set did have a bit of history involved but this one is just a story about the two brothers again with very little actual Tudor history involved. Disappointed.
