Summary
Irresistible desire and thrilling suspense combine in this electrifying new Argeneau novel from New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands.
For close to 3,000 years, the imposing, impossibly handsome Santo Notte has fought in armies across the world and battled his own more personal enemies. Of all the places he might expect to encounter his life mate, a quiet corner of upstate New York doesn’t seem likely. But as soon as he makes contact with history Professor Petronella Stone while hunting down a suspected rogue immortal, he knows she will be the greatest adventure of his eternal life.
He expects her to be surprised, confused, even overwhelmed. What he doesn’t expect is that Pet has a secret history of her own. There’s no mistaking the mind-blowing, mutual pleasure they share. But as Pet struggles to protect her nephew from a danger lurking too close to home, Santo realizes there’s another threat to her safety - him. And claiming their passionate future will be impossible until he leaves his past behind, forever....

Ok.
The plot of the book was ok. It dragged a little in places. The characters were interesting enough. The narrator was good.

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL & BRILLIANT ARGENEAU EPISODE.
Another beautiful & brilliant Argeneau episode. Here Cristos Norte finds his Lifemate Pet Stone.
After Pet's nephew, Parker made a 911 call about his elderly neighbour's nephew turning up, acting weird & has fangs, which makes Margurite & Julios Norte hears the call which makes them investigate & its after they meet Pet that Margurite knows that she belongs to their nephew Cristos 😉💞
We see that Pet & her twin Quin have had their own experience of Rogue Immortals.
Find out her horrendous story came about & ended & Cristos story of his three thousand year life & what happened his children.
My 1 downside was not finding out if the twins adopted parents knew about their mother & step father & why Quin seems like she doesn't remember their life before moving to the US, though I guess we'll find out more when we get to Quin's own story...

Very odd!
I love these books and have them all, I also have the audible options. This one however was very strange. The story is great as are all books in the series, but I do wish those reading would take a brief time to check the background of the main characters. In this the Argeneau family seems to have turned into Cubans! They were not! The Notte family are Italian.
I just found it really disconcerting that all the characters that I love had changed that much. Having said that, the reader had a good voice nd read well, just in completely the wrong accents.
