About this listen
The trouble with Valentine's Day?
It just plain stinks!
Kate Hamilton should know. Dumped by her boyfriend and burnt out by her job, she's returned to Gospel, Idaho, where a Mountain Momma Crafters' original poetry reading is about as good as it gets on a Friday night. Then her first attempted seduction of a hunky stranger is completely rejected. So much for her self-esteem!
It turns out that Rob Sutter, former ice hockey madman, owner of Sutter's Sports - and the hunky stranger who told her to get lost - has been more than burned by love and isn't looking for a relationship. But then he and Kate find themselves in an ultra-compromising position in the M&S Market, giving the phrase "clean up in aisle five" a whole new meaning and causing a whole lot of gossip in Gospel.

Small Town Romance with a HEA
Actual rating: 3.5 stars. I liked Rob and Kate and also the romance between Kate’s Grandad and Alice. I felt disappointed by the portrayal of Rob’s ex-wife - the woman got cheated on and is raising a two year old by herself a plane ride away from the girl’s dad and she just wanted a chance at a family and gave good reason as to why they could try it but then she’s made out to be manipulative and rude. I know she was only a small part of the story but I hope there’s a redemption story out there for her with a HEA! Also Rob came off as insensitive quite a lot, with her and with Kate.
Overall a good small town romance with spice and a HEA but just small things niggled at me!

Great Holiday read
Rachel Gibson doesn’t disappoint again. Thoroughly enjoyed this book, linking in nicely with previous ones I’d read, adding snippets of those past to tell you what’s happened is a delight. This book has a lot of humour and a lot of angst sex - great read and definitely one to recommend- thank you

Excellent!!
This was included, and a very enjoyable listen.
Not heard anything from this author before, but thought I’d give it a go. Glad I did!
Loved the storyline, both main characters were funny and likeable. Although, Rob had been a bit of an A..hole before, so I didn’t expect him to turn out so well.
Likeable tale with, some good humour, hot sex scenes and heartwarming moments.
Good all rounder. Would recommend 👍

Easy listening entertainment
A nice story line, read well, although it might’ve been a tad more entertaining had there been a male voice. Still, all things are better in hindsight. No criticism is big enough to detract from the five stars awarded.

Always delivers
Love Rachel Gibsons romance series, especially how characters from previous books appear briefly in others.

Another good story!
Romances are always a bit predictable but this manages to be more realistic than many. I just wish that for once we would have a heroine who isn’t stunningly beautiful!

meh
this books an ok read for a book included in the plus catalogue, but it was the same old Mills and boon esq 'romance',
I personally didn't really like either of the main characters, and found the book to be quite problematic in the chauvinism and homophobia.

Sexist at best
The narrator is great although she likes to emphasize h in a word that contains ‘wh’ (aka for a whhhhhile - once you notice it drives you mildly mad). But the inherent sexism is what really decided for me to DNR halfway through. ‘He wouldn’t be so crazy to cry like a little girl’ ‘Women can really twist things in conversations’ ‘He knew women like her’ truly awful.
