About this listen
Jo Spain is a sublime storyteller . . . this is a book you won't want to put down' JANE CASEY
2014, Dublin: at St Edmunds, an elite college on the outskirts of the city, twenty-year-old medical student Theo gets up one morning, leaving behind his sleeping girlfriend, Dani, and his studies - never to be seen again. With too many unanswered questions, Dani simply can't accept Theo's disappearance and reports him missing, even though no one else seems concerned, including Theo's father.
Ten years later, Dani returns to the college as a history professor. With her mother suffering from severe dementia, and her past at St Edmunds still haunting her, she's trying for a new start. But not all is as it seems behind the cloistered college walls - meanwhile, Dani is hiding secrets of her own.

Great new characters
Slowly drawn in and unraveled through highs and lows - can’t wait for the next one!

Reasonable plot
Reasonable plot but a lot of repetition. I very much like the voice of the narrator.

another great story by Jo Spain
I have read or listened to several Jo Spain novels and always forget to leave a review.
Her novels are always well written and leave you guessing.
The narrator on this audio book is well suited to the characters.
Really enjoyed this book.

Lost interest even though I love Jo Spain books
The story started well and I liked the characters and the way the plot went back and forward. I got to the last 2 hours and found I couldn't be bothered what happened. l don't want to give away any of the plot so I will just say I really didn't care enough to finish it.
