A house of dreams. A place of nightmares. Lacey has longed for a home of her own all her life - a place where she can feel safe, where she and her new husband can raise their first, precious child. Sonja Condit's short fiction has appeared in many publications. She is the principal bassoon of the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra and Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium and she teaches at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.

The Starter House
I think I expected a little too much from this book, I thought the read up sounded like a good little ghost story but i was wrong. It is not a bad little story but I wanted more to happen and it didn't, I love the books that give you the creeps and this did not for me its a mild little ghost story not scary or gory.

A creepy, by the numbers, ghost tale.
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would avoid some of the more overused gothic horror tropes, but it isn't painfully cliched.
If you’ve listened to books by Sonja Condit before, how does this one compare?
I haven't so I can't compare but she's a competent writer.
