Summary
I’ve waited three long years for this....
Hiding. Lying. Spying. Waiting like a spider for her to wander into my web....
Now she’s here, and I have to get even closer to her. I’ll help her. Befriend her. Seduce her, even. The only thing I can’t do is fall in love with her.
Her father took everything from me: my money, my family, my life. He has to pay for what he’s done. And she’s the only thing that can hurt him....
The Lark Notes:
"I’ve been planting clues and Easter Eggs all the way through the first three Kingmakers books—now it’s time for the secrets to be revealed, and the mysteries to find their conclusions. The moment you finish The Spy, you’re going to want to go back and listen to the whole series all over again!" (Sophie)
The Spy is the final installment in the epic dark mafia Kingmakers series. It’s a forbidden romance full of mystery, betrayal, and an explosive conclusion that will give you the biggest book hangover of your life!

Sophie Lark gas a brilliant mind!
Sophie Lark is a brilliant mind! She wrote this fourth book of the series, and weaved it together so that it pulls in the parents of the Brutal Birthright Series. It was everything that I needed and more. My heart was racing in this book and I loved how much it pulled families together. We’re all stronger together!
I saw glimpses from other books that seemed to reflect so much more about Aries than was being shown. Always watching, and always wear-fully there to protect his family of friends from all that can happen on Kingmakers grounds. Yet so many twists and turns that I have come to love in this series.
Nix had to fight so hard with her father to attend Kingmakers but being stubborn when she wants something I think her father knew he had to let her go. Nix was so lucky to befriend Sabrina on her way to the school. Nix had no idea her Dad was so repulsed by so many and doesn’t seem to have a clue as to why. Yet she is one strong willed young woman and she shows her worth and starts to win folks over slowly. Including one broody Aries. Aries and Mix are smoking Hawt together. It was a bit torturous seeing Aries fight his repulsion at first then see that flip flop into a deep caring and protectiveness for Nix.
This book brought all of series together and again with so much action that I will definitely need to hear these audiobooks again and relive it all in wonderment for the crafted writing skills of Sophie Lark.
The narrators were perfectly matched with the characters. I need to hear more Antonio Turner his voice was deliciously dark and tantalizing as the brooding Aries who had so much to hide from everyone, or so he thought. Then his family of friends surprise him in the end in helping him find his father. Avie Paige was refreshing as the unaware-full, tenacious Nix. Nix was a breath of fresh air for me. She carried no misconceptions of the other families because her upbringing hadn’t been one with others around. Hence her naivety upon her arrival at Kingmakers.
Then the background story by Connor Brown really helped pull the past into the present and helped me understand how connected everything is in the families of Kingmakers.
I really could go on and on with my praises on this series. Loved all the thrilling action, the budding relationships and the found family connections made at Kingmakers and I can’t wait to hear what Sophie has for us next.

Utterly Brilliant!!
WOW!!! I thought nothing else could beat Dean's story, but this one did. The Spy was so good that it left me completely speechless. I have no idea where to start my review. Finally, the identity of The Spy is revealed, and what an astonishing surprise it was. That being said, I will not disclose who he is in the review. The story evoked a multitude of emotions in me; it's heart-wrenching, passionate, beautifully written, and absolutely enthralling. The storyline is rich, compelling, exciting, suspenseful, and action-packed, wrapped and drama, angst, steam, and surprising twists and turns. There are so many moving parts, and the way they connect is phenomenal. Sophie lark is a genius storyteller, immersing her audience with an intricate and finally tuned plot shrouded in mystery and romance. The little clues she leaves between the lines are perfect; it's like following breadcrumbs on a trail.
The romance portion of the story is great but not as developed as the previous installments. The forbidden romance element of the relationship really captured my attention. The chemistry was charged, and the connection was realistic. Although the dynamics between the Spy and Nix were captivating, my focus remained to undo the unraveling of the mysteries and answers to my long-awaited questions. Sophie Lark wrapped up everything perfectly, and I'm thoroughly satisfied with the ending.
Once again, the narration was marvelous. Antonio Turner, Avie Paige, and Connor Brown all did an outstanding job capturing and portraying the nuances of the characters' personalities, emotions, and intensity found in the pages. As always, they made the story even more engaging. The Spy was a terrific listen, a journey worth taking, and one I'll highly recommend.

Incredible Conclusion to a Brilliant Series!
Sophie Lark packs a punch in this action-packed finale to her amazing “Kingmakers” series and it is wild and crazy ride. I loved how she has been dropping details and clues throughout the series which lead up to this book, hearing from the “Spy” really piqued my interest and it was great to learn more about him in this book, who he is and what he is all about and who is cohort is. I will not say too much other than, if you have not started this series yet, what are you waiting for? Besides finding out who the spy is and his mission, we meet Nix Maroz, she grew up sheltered thinking her father was a good man, she learns her fellow students at the Kingmakers academy do not share her opinion. But she will be happy to make just one friend and she is lucky to make more than one, including Sabrina Gallo, her new roommate. She also runs into a few other surprises there. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a brilliantly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, mystery, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a forbidden romance that is oh so right! Also loved the incredible ending and everything just fell into place with questions answered and wrapped up storylines. Thank you Sophie Lark, for the wild ride and a superbly done ending to an amazing series.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Antonio Turner, Evie Paige and Connor Brown do an awesome job bringing these characters and their story to life and do so with a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, giving each a voice that is a perfect fit for that character’s persona. I loved how they took each role, ran with it and made it their own, and were believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Good Listen
This book shows you that you can do anything for family even if you are living a lie. The things you do when revenge is your only focus. When you never expect to find someone you want to be with in this process and have to continue the lie. You will be risking more than you thought. Good ending to the series.

The best of the series
This book was the culmination of everything from the first four books. We get the backstory on the Spy and find out who it actually is to be honest it was not hard to figure out. Nix is new coming to Kingsmakers not knowing everything her father has done no why she is so hated by everyone on campus. Nix has to stand d up for her self and she falls for Aries who is keeping secrets. I loved this series.

Great audio.
Loved the book and the outrageous characters. Now that's the way to to do it! Bringing the Kingmakers series to its conclusion, revealing the full extent of the secrets, allowing the breadcrumbs dropped previously to be picked up and lead us to the conclusion, Sophie Lark has written a book which transports the reader to a foreign world, tells stories within the story and brings everyone's parts in the past and present, to a satisfying ending. Combine this with the thread of Nix and Ares' burgeoning attraction, and you have an absolute treat of a book. I couldn't put it down, and I don't think you will either. Bravo! 💖💖💖💖💖+
The audio lives up to the story with the narrators, Antonio Turner , Avie Paige and Connor Brown bring the book and characters to life. Very well done 💖💖💖💖💖
