An Interesting Read
This is three different audio books in one volume so very good value for the money. The chapters have their titles added (rather than just a chapter numbers) which makes it easy to find any section. The sound quality of the recordings are excellent. The narrators have clear voice & accent, and the speed of reading is steady (a tiny bit fast in places so you might like to slow the narration speed to x0.9) but overall it is good if one prefers listening to reading. Bridget Bishop has a simple but to the point style of writing and she writes without any fluff. At the same time she gives enough explanation and clarification. Do the stuff work? I don't know. But I particularly liked the section about herbs, plenty of good & practical advice about growing herbs in small spaces.

A Christian Perspective on The Spell Book for Begi
As a Christian, reading The Spell Book for Beginners brings to mind the story of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2. When the king sought answers from magicians, enchanters, and sorcerers, they admitted they couldn’t interpret the dream without divine intervention. It was Daniel, through the power of God, who revealed and interpreted the dream, giving all credit to the “God of heaven who solves mysteries” (Daniel 2:27-28). This story demonstrates that true wisdom and power come from God, not human practices or spiritual tools like those described in this book.
For believers, this book serves as a reminder to seek God for guidance, comfort, and understanding, rather than relying on crystals, herbs, or spells. Just as Daniel turned to prayer and trusted in God’s sovereignty, we are called to put our faith in Him, knowing He is the ultimate source of peace, power, and wisdom.
