interesting story with some lovely characters in. The narrator was very good at using different voices for the characters.

Exciting and well paced.

The silk tree was a book I was very unsure of when I bought it but being written by Julian Stockwin and narrated by Peter Noble it had to be worth a try.

This book is a great well researched adventure story. I never wanted to switch it off. It is well narrated as I expected and a book I would listen to again and again.

The story and main characters moves across the globe to the far flung corners of China where they meet with a group of very unlikely people. They all come from such different backgrounds and have differing strengths that the two characters are able to dig themselves out of many exciting and seemingly impossible situations.

If you like adventure you’ll love this

The build up of the story and characters draws you, then after a few twists ad terms that draw you in, you just can’t put it down. Brilliantly narrated!! An absolute classic

good yarn, travelling across the globe .

This book is a short epic, it is an enjoyable read, but there are bits that need more substance, such as Nicander's discovery of meditation and thought.
but a good book for audio while driving.

Enjoyable Listening Experience

Interesting story. As good as any that I’ve “read” recently in the historical fiction genre. Finished it in three evenings. Well narrated by Peter Noble.

Disappointed

Sadly not my favourite Stockwin book. After the Kydd series which were fantastic. I thought it was a bit rushed. Not saying it's bad but there was a potential for more.
