About this listen
In the formidable Colonel Garrison's updated version of the old Redskins program, operatives actually have and maintain an authentic identity very different from that of spy. As Colonel Garrison likes to say, "It is easier to make an agent out of a real person than a real person out of an agent." Dan O'Donovan, former Marine, partner in and heir to a local family department store chain, is one such operative.
The second mission with Pres Hooper unwittingly attached to it begins when Pres flies off to Ireland to console his sister Mary Sue after an unexpected and tragic turn of events. The events involved contacts important to Colonel Garrison, so he at once sends Dan along to find out what so unexpectedly went wrong as well as to investigate Garrison's theory that hostilities in Northern Ireland between Catholics and Protestants continue to flare up because there are a few individuals deliberately fanning the flames for their own purposes. Dan is, as usual, to avoid as much as possible any contact with MI-5, the local police, or the American Embassy, as well as deal with Pres who finds that Ireland is a land of romance as well.
