About this listen
It was supposed to be a peaceful town, completely supernatural-free....
Damian Blake never stays in one place too long. But when he starts on his way to Phoenix, he wants nothing more than to hide who he truly is and find a place where he doesn't have to deal with monsters...at least for a short while. So, when a local business owner offers him a construction job in a small town in Arizona, he takes it.
Little does he know, however, that this small town has big, terrifying secrets.
Before long, Damian finds himself drawn into a bloodcurdling world of mysteries, lies, and intrigues. With the lives of people he cares about on the line, he struggles to identify the unknown, powerful evil that lurks in the shadows. And when he finally learns the truth, it comes with a shocking revelation that his chances of winning this deadly cat-and-mouse game are next to nothing.
Faced with this horrifying reality, he must make a choice that will change his life forever, shaking his entire world to the core. But what is his future in comparison to the destruction of the entire town... and possibly the world?
If you like fast-paced, action-packed urban fantasy novels with dynamic characters, intense action, and breathtaking suspense, then you'll love this edge-of-your-seat series with a touch of Slavic mythology. Get your copy now!

A thrilling story brought to life!
I had already read this book on my kindle and absolutely loved it. I always preferred reading a book myself as opposed to listening to one as I'm a very fast reader. However, I find audiobooks perfect for long flights and car journeys, or when my hands are occupied but my brain isn't, and I've really enjoyed them.
The others were great, but this one has surpassed them by miles. The narrator has brought Thorn's characters to life even more vividly than I had expected, and the voices are absolutely perfect. He has managed to make each one so unique you know who's speaking from just one word. They are utterly distinct with the personalities of each character pouring from the words. Male, female, human, vampire, accents, speech mannerisms, it was all there in abundance. Damian's voice is just as growly and Gipsy's as sarcastic as I'd made them out to be in my head. It's given an already fantastic story an entirely new dimension, and I could sit and listen to the book over and over again.
I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who enjoys a great story where fantasy is made so real you start to wonder if it could actually be true.
