Summary

Escape to the French chateau in this gripping, sweeping tale of love, lies and divided loyalties. Perfect for fans of Santa Montefiore and Lucinda Riley.

_________________________________________________________________

ONE FAMILY
GENERATIONS OF SECRETS
IT’S TIME TO ESCAPE TO THE CHATEAU . . .

Elise is a true daughter of the chateau. She’d die before anything happened to Sainte Madeleine – even if it means betraying her own family.

Alexandre, Elise’s brother, is destined to inherit – yet a dangerous rift with their father puts his future, and the chateau, in jeopardy.

And for distant cousin Laurent, his life-long love for Elise will always call him back to Sainte Madeleine.

But the peace of Europe rests on a knife-edge, and history has bigger plans than them all. Through love and war, danger and deceit, can the chateau – and the Salignac family – weather the storm?

totally brilliant well done Tilly Bagshawe!

I listened to this story as an audible whilst gardening and doing the household chores, it has kept me captivated all week. lots of cliffhangers at the end of chapters and the characters were well thought out. this book is all about three generations and the love of a beautiful family vineyard.

A great read

Tilly Bagshawe writes well. I have enjoyed this story and it’s twists and turns. I also liked the mild history lesson reminding me of 5he Spanish civil war and the atrocities of WWII. And, in the end a love story that righted the wrongs and happiness rose from tragedies and sad events.
Jilly Bond is a fabulous actress and is completely believable as a woman or man. Loved her characterisation.

Not a bad read

Enjoyed it to start with but like so many books stretched out a bit too much. Narrator was good.
Could have been excellent if half as long!
