Summary
"The Saggar" is a riveting narrative that plunges listeners into the gritty, vibrant life of Teddy Saggar, a man wrestling with the shadows of his past in Stoke-on-Trent. Through a series of vivid, compelling episodes, we journey with Teddy as he navigates a world teeming with old friends, uneasy reunions, and the stark realities of a life spent on the fringes. Each chapter unfurls with gripping tension, humor, and heart, painting a portrait of a community and a man at a crossroads.
From the dimly lit pubs of his old haunts to the surprising connections he forms along the way, Teddy's quest for redemption and identity is as moving as it is unpredictable. CJ Walley masterfully crafts a story that is not only a testament to resilience and the human spirit but also a deep dive into the nuances of working-class Britain.
"The Saggar" is a must-listen for anyone who loves intricately drawn characters, sharp wit, and stories that stay with you long after you finish listening.

Stoke gangsters, biker gangs . . . and oatcakes!
The Sagger is about an ex-convict who returns to his old stomping ground in the underbelly of Stoke. Despite wanting to start a new life he gets drawn back into a world of violence and crime. I really liked this story and found the characters to be relatable.
