Summary

A Roman soldier, Marcellus, wins Christ's robe as a gambling prize. He then sets forth on a quest to find the truth about the Nazarene's robe, a quest that reaches to the very roots and heart of Christianity. Set against the vividly drawn background of ancient Rome, this is a timeless story of adventure, faith, and romance, a tale of spiritual longing and ultimate redemption.

A fictional account of 1st century Christianity

This is a fine fictional rendering of the truths expressed by the Christian . Whilst clearly a work of fiction it expresses the truths of the events which followed the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The message and narration first class.

The story though fictional is true so far as events are concerned. I love Lloyd C Douglas literature.

the reader didn't pause at "sections". very disconcerting jumping from one character to another without a breath!

Jesus effing Christ 🤦🏻‍♂️

The Robe is an unmitigated shitshow that errs on all accounts: too corny, unsurprisingly preachy, entirely unconvincing, grossly inaccurate, terribly narrated and poorly edited.
