About this listen

Three moons are rising. They are rising over the snowy Archen Mountains, where Teia struggles through the high passes to carry her warning to the Empire: The Nimrothi war band is poised to invade and at their head stands Ytha. She means to release the Wild Hunt - and with it Maegern the Raven, the Keeper of the Dead.

In the desert of Gimrael, the moons are rising over the fires of revolution - flames that have already robbed Gair of a friend and left him alone in a hostile city, unsure even if the Song is still his to command. He has one last duty to discharge, and then nothing will stand between him and his ultimate goal: Vengeance. And in the Nordmen's chilly halls, Savin plays out a game in which kings and chieftains and men are but pawns on a chessboard that spans the Veil itself.

Three moons are rising. When the trinity is complete, the endgame will begin.

Recommended by Audible as comparable to

Patrick Rothfuss' trilogy. Has one thing the Rothfuss trilogy doesn't have. A third book!?? Fantastic.

Great story

Really enjoyed this book, the third in the series. The characters have grown with each book, so it's worth listening to all three

Loses steam but still very good

This is a great series. The characters have been well developed, growing along with the story. They're not the same people and it adds a good deal of depth to the tale.

I found the pace slowing down from halfway through the book. The supporting characters have been unveiled; we know who's good, bad and ugly. Now we need for 'it' to happen!

I don't want to say too much to spoil the story. Tanith is betrayed, Taeia is mistaken and lost and Gair... Gair is slowly tearing himself apart - or the demon in his mind is. He's still unaware of it.

It's good - very good. Can't wait for the next book.

Much better than book 2

Things get back to normal now – better storyline, and the characters on more interesting. The hero has had another personality transplant, but fortunately this time he has gone back to being the main character, not the annoying sulky individual he turned into the book 2. Overall it’s a really good series and interesting story, and there was little or none of the explicit sex that was in book 2. I just wish the author would rewrite book 2 as 1 was amazing and 3 excellent. I nearly didn’t bother after book 2

A trilogy means 3 books.

I am really annoyed. I have read the three books. They are good. Nothing against them. But when I was reaching the end of this third book I realised there was another book NOT IN AUDIBLE!!. This is not the first time it happens to me. I read two or three books in a series and then.... no more books!!. Then, I search and find that more books have been published but not as AUDIOBOOKS. I have problems with my sight so my way of reading is by listening. And this is not the first time I end up without knowing the end of a story, which is VERY annoying!!!
The reason for me to buy these books was that they claimed to be a trilogy (3 books) and the three were in audible, so I thought I would listen to a story to the end, Not the case.
PLEASE, don't do this to your listeners!! Many of us have been with you for many years. We want full stories!!
Once again, the books are entertaining and the narrator superb. Nothing against the books.

Frustrating Ending

Expect a trilogy to have a conclusion. Too many things left open or unexplained. Frustrating.
