Summary
What if you could predict future economic outcomes?
A struggling free-lance reporter might have found an answer.
A chance encounter with a mysterious elderly man leads him on a journey involving high level government officials and an underground sinister organization. Each is seeking possession of the instrument that provides the answers.
Roger Jensen, a freelance journalist, is hustling for stories and comes across an old man who is an inventor of an incredible supercomputer. He learns of its extraordinary value as a story and as a help to current economic problems. He decides to help the inventor to get his machine to the correct government office where it would do the best good. Roger’s old college classmate happens to be the Secretary of Commerce and he decides to get her to accept the supercomputer as an aid to U.S. policy making. However, a mole placed in the Commerce office informs the Order of Worldwide Leadership (O.W.L.), a sinister organization bent on world economic domination and control, about the supercomputer. O.W.L. attempts to gain control of the supercomputer or the information it provides while Roger and the Inventor try to have it protected and installed to do the best good. The struggle over the supercomputer brings in blackmail, murder, and intrigue as the transition to improve the economy continues…
