Fast Paced Mystery and Intrigue.
The novel has a slow but mysterious beginning onboard an aircraft, one passenger finds he's the only one active and the pilots are missing. In another part of the world an ancient relic is discovered by a miner. Sam Reilly and team discover the incidents are linked and are in a race against time. Well written with an excellent, well paced, narration makes the novel very enjoyable.

Back to his best
Back to his best. I have not enjoyed the last few Sam Reilly books for some reason as much but with this one Christopher Cartwright is back to his best. This time Sam must investigate a mysterious mask found deep in the mountains and the links to a mysterious flight were one passenger is the only one left conscious for some reason. Mix in a bit of Amelia Earhart and what you have is an exciting mix of adventure and drama and a man trying to save the world.

This series is currently my favourite!
I love Sam Reilly books. Sam is cool but then so are all the characters. We have a great diverse range of characters so the writer can dip in and out of using them alongside Sam. ave not yet had one of these books that I've not enjoyed. Literally they are all massively entertaining. The writing has a great sense of pace. We have twists and turns. It's great. I love the background story that each story touches on that I have to admit I can't wait to get even more detail on. Really, really great!!
The narration remains excellent. I couldn't imagine Sam without it.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
