About this listen
THE PERILS OF POLICING: FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, is the Memoir of the experience of a Retired Female Military Veteran, former Police Officer and Deputy Sheriff. The fact that this book depicts the many racial, and gender overtones and biases, as a female Law Enforcement Officer, was defined by the author's experience and not her mentality. By the inspiration of GOD, the Author takes you on a behind the scenes look at the good, the bad, and the overall fulfillment of the daily operations of law enforcement personnel.
A career in Law Enforcement is a very honorable and fulfilling profession, that must be an assignment to honorable, committed, individuals. The reality that it has been known to be a male dominant career field is antiquated, outdated, and needs to be changed. Women have a distinct role in every aspect of our society. To not be accepted and/or allowed to succeed and progress in any area the individuals themselves feel called to be a part of, does a great disservice to our community, state, country, and the world.
The Author not only reveal some of the many nuances and problems in Law Enforcement, but also offers viable solutions.
