Summary

Regardless of your stage of life and your current financial picture, the quest for financial freedom can indeed be conquered. The journey will demand the right tools and strategies along with the mindset of money mastery. With decades of collective wisdom and hands-on experience, your guides for this expedition are Peter Mallouk, the only man in history to be ranked the number one financial advisor in the US for three consecutive years by Barron's (2013, 2014, 2015), and Tony Robbins, the world-renowned life and business strategist. Mallouk and Robbins take the seemingly daunting goal of financial freedom and simplify it into a step-by-step process that anyone can achieve.

This book is filled with real-life success stories and vital lessons, such as: why the future is better than you think and why there is no greater time in history to be an investor; how to chart your personally tailored course for financial security; how markets behave and how to achieve peace of mind during volatility; what the financial services industry doesn't want you to know; how to select a financial advisor that puts your interests first; how to navigate, select, or reject the many types of investments available; and success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure! Financial freedom is not only about money - it's about feeling deeply fulfilled in your own personal journey.

a beginner's introduction to investing

I am new to this so I think the general advice was sound. good humour and not boring at all. I had to have the narration slowed at 80% as the pace was way too fast for me to understand anything. some advice relates to the US tax system. there were mentions in the book where you thought this is an ad for the author's financial business. the Tony Robbins chapters were as expected empowering and amazing. overall ok experience as this was my first financial related book.

North American centric

The principles laid out are sound and broadly applicable but the book does reference products, structures and tax law from a US point of view. A few references to intestate sounded more like interstate which are of course very different. If you’re in the UK a more practical guide might be Pete Matthews’ Meaningful Money but The Path will either set you up or reinforce the lessons from the former. You can spot Tony’s style especially around the behavioural aspects of the book so if you’ve consumed his content before and enjoyed it, The Path is accessible and enjoyable for a book of this sort and a lot shorter than the earlier one, Money-master the game. For those who are anxious about this subject, should boost you confidence and get you started.

Outstanding book about investing

Phenomenonal book. A wonderful insight to investing and what happens year on year with the stock market. I makes you think about what you should do and how to feel when there is a market correction year on year. I loved unshakeable and really love The Path,
Thank you Peter & Tony.

I like it - not a lot but I like it

Sound financial advice, all very sensible and achievable but gets too weighed down in detail at times eg having a 60/40 weighting in stocks/bonds and readjusting periodically. The book is rescued by the Tony Robbins chapters which focus on psychology, happiness and what you are actually saving for.

Basic information terrible narration

I have long been an admirer of Tony Robbins but this book is terrible. Narration is at 100mph and is very basic.
Seems to be more like an ad for Mallouk's services.
