Young widow Louise Rutherford longs to find a new husband, and when a handsome American officer arrives to recruit volunteers for a secret project, she senses an opportunity. Jen Carter's relationship with Henry Keller is threatened when an old flame reappears in her life. Her mother Joyce's decision to take romance slowly threatens to become a dangerous mistake when the V1 rockets start hitting London.

Read every book. didn't want them to end.
loved all the characters, The Children were fantastic. I'm 70, heard so much about the war, but these books were brilliantly descriptive I learnt and understood so much. Well done to all concerned. BRILLIANT.

Fifth book of the series, each one is engrossing and fabulous story intertwined with the 2nd world war as it happened.

Another wonderful book
I really love the narrator of this book switches perfectly between characters and really feel like I know them personally. Only one book left to listen to in this series and each 9ne gas been as good as the other.
