Summary
Sammi is having the worst weekend. When what was supposed to be a secluded romantic getaway turns into a near-death experience when she is stranded alone in the mountains during a snowstorm by her two-timing boyfriend. Sammi faces a desperate situation. With no cell service, dwindling food supplies, and a power outage, she doesn't think it could get worse until an accident leaves her unconscious and vulnerable. When she comes to, she awakens to find herself in a warm cabin, and her rescuer a creature of fantasy - an orc. And he thinks that she will be a perfectly obedient pet. Ha! He wishes.
Orgath is an exile, the son of a vanquished chieftain of his clan. His days and nights are spent alone more often than not. When he finds a tiny human while hunting in the human world his compassion moves him to rescue the little thing and bring her home as a companion. He quickly finds out that there is a lot more to humans than orc-kind has believed.
When things starting heating up and passion ignites between them, they discover the potential for a lot more in their relationship than either could have imagined.

A hot monster romance where Consent is Sexy!
I am delighted. Such a fun and and hot monster romance. While the world building is impressive as well, it just doesn´t feel like the main purpose of the story. The main purpose being fun and hot. And absolutely wonderful. I am on the hunt for new favorite authors, and have found one more. Very well written, impressingly good storyline and worldbuilding, as well as dialog and characters. Both the snarky heroine and her sexy moster are awesome, lovely supporting cast and endless possibilities. I am sulking as the second book in the series isn´t available on audio. I want the next story!
Oh and that narrator, a gem. Next level voice acting.

Good story but 'female voice' acting put me off
Voice acting was a little bit too American female brat stereotype which put me off the story a bit but other than that an enjoyable listen.

A pleasant surprise
Ever start a book and not expect much but want a light read? Omg. I was so pleasantly suppried with this book! I laughed so much at this and it was hot and well written! I expected it to end when the main er. .. "issue" was done in the book.(no spoilers) But was very nice when it continued on for a while longer. Very happy suprise in this book and I was quickly looking for more by this writer.
The reading was slightly off putting at first but soon settled. Was just a bit jarring to start

I loved it!
This is my first time reading from this author and I was expecting a pleasant but typical book from this genre, however it ended up being so much more.
Firstly, this book is extremely well written and creative. I pretty much loved it and am very saddened that book two is not on audiobook form with the same narrator. Secondly, I loved the narrator, he did an excellent job and had me laughing all the way through. His female voices are believable which is often an annoyance with some male narrators, and he is good at accents.
I definitely recommend this audiobook especially if you need a 'pick me up' or just some fun escapism.
I received this book for free of my choosing and I voluntarily left this review.

Disappointed!
No doubt, the author is a skilled and creative writer. Thanks to her ability to develop her characters and her descriptive writing gift, she succeeded in creating the required imagery. The narrator also did a good job. His versatility, though slightly limited, was impressive.
The story started off well and was somewhat engaging... well, up until the point when the Orc was forced to take on his nemesis, Olaf. The book should probably have ended in the euphoria of the victory.
However, after that, the story got boring and forced. It was almost like the author was trying to make up extra pages/chapters. What followed was a cheesey and corny plot and series of dialogues.
I never really liked Sammi, the leading female. She came across as too corny, immature, and rather annoying. As the story went on, she got even worse and sounded more and more like a child... almost silly.
The rest of the story was unnecessary and seemed to be geared towards just being comical without any substance. I couldn't wait for the book to end.
It started off fairly well, but in the end, I was greatly disappointed.
