About this listen
The Cornish village of St Petroc is the sort of place where people come to hide. Tom Killgannon is one such person. An ex-undercover cop, Tom is in the Witness Protection Programme, and St Petroc offers him a chance to live a safe and quiet life. Until he meets Lila.
Lila is a 17-year-old runaway. When she breaks into Tom's house she takes more than just his money. His wallet holds everything about his new identity. He also knows that Lila is in danger from the travellers' commune she's been living at. But to find her he risks not only giving away his location to the gangs he's in hiding from but also becoming a target for whoever is hunting Lila.

Wicker Man in Cornwall
Enjoyable tale of, basically, the Wicker Man in Cornwall. If you're familiar with that storyline then it unfolds in a fairly predictable way. Our hero is well meaning and seeking a path to redemption. For a former Commando/ undercover cop he doesn't always seem wordly wise. Helped me through a couple of pleasant days creosoting my shed and summerhouse. Which is all I ask of a good audiobook. I'll probably try the next in the series. In real life the author is very engaging and funny. Catch him live if you can.
