About this listen
Escape to the cosiest little lodge in Iceland for love, log fires and the Northern Lights…
With a shattered heart and her career completely in tatters, Lucy needs to get away from her life in the UK. But, when she takes a job as hotel manager of the Northern Lights Lodge, she doesn’t quite expect to find herself in a land of bubbling hot springs and snowflake-dusted glaciers – and in the company of gorgeous Scottish barman, Alex.
Determined to turn her life around, Lucy sets about making the lodge the number one romantic destination in Iceland – even though romance is the last thing she wants. However, as Alex and Lucy grow closer under the dancing lights of the aurora, Lucy might just learn how to fall in love again…

Nice story for easy listening. A little romance, a little betrayal, a little Icelandic setting. Just nice

Easy great listen
Like the book as it finishes the story and doesn’t leave you think this could go on. Easy storyline to listen to.

Hilariously offensive
It is a good thing Icelandic people don’t take themselves seriously because this books paints an interesting picture 😂
Everyone knows huldufólk are neither benign nor tricksters… we have the búálfar for that! (Folklore fact)
On a more honest note, these are the beliefs of our ancestors and no more ridiculous than parts of modern religion and folklore around the world.
We don’t let these quirky beings run our lives and most view their existence in a neutral light, not going around saying they are real but also with strong instinct not to discard the possibility. Both as respect for our ancestors and to add colour to our lives.

Merry dancers
I bought this for The title as I wanted to hear and know more about the northern lights. The Merry dancers of those green northern lights frequently are spoken of and do appear in this book and we do get some descriptions of the local scenery which makes this book worthwhile. The story itself is mediocre and fairly predictable and does have some twists and turns, like who is the mysterious saboteur?

An excellent story, beautifully narrated
A good story set mainly in Iceland. A romance with a plentiful supply of humour and the location well described.

Iceland forever
A lovely warm story about love and finding yourself after all sorts of problems. And the descriptions of Iceland were so enchanting that i just have to go there soon. Thoroughly recommended. Brilliantly narrated.
