Summary
I was not looking for a date. Another questionable relationship was the last thing I needed. Because trust me, they were all questionable.
But through a series of unfortunate events involving my cat and
his poor decision-making skills, I agreed to a set-up.
Except...the set-up is with the governor.
I am not political girlfriend material. For one, I’m a little bit crazy. For two, I have secrets.
But I also have a big crush on the governor. One little date can’t hurt, right? Spoiler: It can.
My big crush is going to end in big trouble.

Banterific
Jana Aston gives good banter and oh my Erin Mallon brings it to life. The way she pronounced Guv'nor had me snort laughing out loud ever time. When I ready the story in my head I had East End cockney, Erin's was better. Audrey is quite hilarious, totally quirky and lovely. Warren is a bit of a grump but hot and weirdly talented in home maintenance.
Their meet cute was adorably awkward.
Her self appointed intern, Michael, is a hoot. Warren's mum is entirely in her own world sorting things to be the way she feels they should be. You'll love Gary, he plays an integral part in the story.
I loved this story. It was fun and super enjoyable. Erin's performance was, as always, fab.

Fantastic book
I really enjoyed this story. It made me laugh out loud, which is rare for me with books, and I really liked the main characters and how their relationship developed. Jana Aston somehow makes her books feel more authentic than other authors (who often end up writing shallow fluffy books). Great narration, too. Can’t wait for more books from this author.

I loved it!
The Next Mrs Russo is an irresistible, laugh out loud funny, sweet, and steamy romance. Audrey is adorable, crazy, and eccentric, whilst Governor Russo is the opposite, he’s serious, standoffish, and brooding, but they’re just perfect for each other. Erin Mallon is a great narrator and it’s an absolute must read/listen. I loved it!

Love this quirky heroine
Audrey Gibson is everything I love in a fun, quirky heroine. She is stumbling along not realizing what a real rock star she is, but Governor Warren Russo sees more than Audrey’s beautifully awkward and slightly loony exterior.
“He stares at me for a long moment, studying me as if he finds me fascinating, or crazy. Hard to tell. Finally he speaks. “Don’t fall in love with me. I’m not in the mood.”
This story had me snort-laughing on one page and totally swooning on another. I was reminded just how much I’ve missed this author’s brand of quirky humor.
“It’s a reminder that sometimes your worst moments can lead to opportunities you never expected. And that starting over can lead you to something even better.”
I switched between ebook and audiobook. I enjoyed both but narrator Erin Mallon really brought Audrey’s uniqueness to life on the audiobook.
