About this listen
This is the most revealing (and fun) guide to making money in the stock market you will ever find.
Robbie Burns, aka the Naked Trader, is an ordinary bloke who quit his day job and traded his way to over £3 million buying and selling shares–tax-free. No gimmicks. No multiple screens. No lucky bubbles. Just common-sense trading techniques, tea, toast and afternoon naps. And a lot of time to do whatever else he wanted.
While whole industries rely on making trading sound more difficult than it really is, the secret no one wants you to know is that anyone can use it to never have to work another ordinary job in their life. This book shows you how to do so without taking silly risks, swallowing a financial dictionary or staring at a screen all day.
In The Naked Trader, Robbie Burns reveals:
How stock market trading actually works
Where to find quality companies (and what makes them decent)
What a winning trade plan looks like
The best times to buy and sell shares
Proven methods for controlling risk (including the subtle art of stop-losses)
The mindset you need for long-term success
Surprising ways to make money in market meltdowns.
How to trade shares in companies across the pond.
Just what he gets up to during his Spanish trading retreats!
And many other real-life trading techniques from more than 25 years of success.
You will also find out what his and others’ biggest mistakes have been, so that you can avoid them.
This is the ultimate guide to making money in the stock market without getting bored or poor. Join Robbie and start trading the naked way!

Good Foundation for Medium Term Investing but Don’t Expect Much ‘Trading’
I bought this after listening to previous editions of the Naked Trader. The book offers a good foundation in medium term investing and finding suitable candidates in the UK markets. However, as I have previous versions he has only added a line here and there and would say anyone considering buying could get just as much information from the 5th edition or lower. Also ‘trading’ in the title is a little deceptive (perhaps catchy to draw people in) as this book does contain near to zero actual trading techniques and he openly dismisses technical analysis (even though it could be used to enter and exit positions without using level 2, it’s almost as though he wants you to buy through his affiliate links…) secondly there are numerous traders that successfully trade markets without fundamentals that are interviewed in Market Wizards, but he acts as though they are do not exist. To summarise: if you are a UK investor this book is a great read but if your looking at swing trading or day trading (which again he acts as though there’s nothing you can do to improve and will fail) avoid as there are better books out there that actually talk about short term trading and risk to reward, indicators etc.

Brilliant work investor book
Fantastic book for budding and experienced investors.
Sometimes I find stock market books full of jargon that is never explained, but this audiobook is easy to follow and understandable and the voiceover is clear & upbeat, with a slight fun edge that makes a welcome difference to this genre.
