About this listen
After San Francisco and Shanghai, John Caldwell is back in Dawson City as a detective with the North West Mounted Police. The year is 1903, and he is asked to search for a missing judge. He returns to Eagle in the Alaskan Territory and discovers it was murder.
He takes time away to hunt for why the judge was murdered, which takes him to Chicago, New York, Washington, and Virginia to solve a long-standing conspiracy. Along the way he is involved in a train robbery, captured and attacked before he finds out the reason.
This is the third book in the Klondike Detective series of historical crime stories, and once again, it introduces an interesting cast of characters that both aids and hinders John Caldwell in his quest to solve this mystery. The first two books The Klondike Detective: Murder on King Solomon’s Dome and The Klondike Detective 2: The San Francisco Scheme are published and available.
