About this listen
Coexisting but conflicting needs create self-sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change, often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies, releasing past experiences at a cellular level, and learning to act as our highest potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential.
For centuries, the mountain has been used as a metaphor for the big challenges we face, especially ones that seem impossible to overcome. To scale our mountains, we actually have to do the deep internal work of excavating trauma, building resilience, and adjusting how we show up for the climb. In the end, it is not the mountain we master, but ourselves.

insights and tools
this book was recommended to me for a very long time, reading it on audio was the best solution I felt like she was talking to me and not only did she illustrate ways of self-sabotage she gave tools for the alternative. As someone with anxiety, low self-compassion with a tendency to fixate on the future and the things I need to fix...this was a healing balm and push.

Perfection
Brianna Wiest has written a few hours of narrated perfection. This audiobook will
Prove more useful than months of 1-2-1 psycho therapy. It is the best book I’ve ever read/heard on the subject of experiencing enlightenment. Get it. Trust me.
Ps. The guy at the top of this review chain sounds bitter and jealous to me.

Eye opening book on self sabotaging patterns
Really informative and a great read if you’re on a self discovery path. Some hard truths to take stock and accountability of how your actions are often the route cause of your issues. Highly recommend.

Very good for self-assurance
I liked the chapters about feeling our feelings and emotions - are we controlling our feelings or suppressing it?
