Summary

The Man Who Painted Fire and Other Poems of the Quantum is a small collection of poems spanning several decades, centered upon the mysteries of cosmic fire and the elemental forces in our corner of the universe, the divine presence in our search for life, love, and being, and the light illuminating the darkness of what seems to be an unforgiving and endless cosmos.

Often, the thinker suffers an unconscious as well as conscious apprehension of death and the grand unthinkable. Being an artist in the romantic tradition, fascinated by the stars, storms on the Sun, the Borealis, tempests on the Sea...and the calling of ancient rituals which echo repeatedly through time.

The eclipse of the Sun is a common theme for many ceremonies, and is an awesome performer in its solar dance, thereby being a principal focus of this eclectic collection, presented to you in my 77th year to heaven, an old man, yet young at heart. I have no answers, unless the answer is in the seeking, and hopefully in the end, the love of beauty and creation will supplant the need for devastation.
