If you’ve tried physical therapy or other exercise programs in the past and they didn’t help, it’s not because of your MS or lack of effort — it was the wrong type of exercise.

A must for anyone with MS
I follow Dr. Hawley on TikTok and I was very eager to purchase her book. I’ve had MS for 18 years and have had many rounds of physical therapy, but none tailored to someone with MS. I’m so incredibly grateful for Dr. Hawley and her focus on what helps people with MS. The advice and recommended exercises are backed by research and experience. I am confident I will return to the book and exercises over and over again as my disease changes.

So easy to follow, such a positive outlook
I like the way that it makes me feel good about myself, even by of I’m not able to move as much as I’d like. It’s encouraging me to do more and I’m finding it easier to keep going with my exercises.
Thanks so much Dr. Gretchen

A ray of hope
I find this audio book so inspiring. Previously, at hospital physio therapy, I’ve typically been given x amount of reps to do, so many times a day and then I’m discharged after 6-8 weeks…. However, Dr Gretchen tells me WHY each exercise is beneficial and how to tweak it, how to progress with it, what would be beneficial to do throughout my life in order to live as well as I can. She has given me the power and trusts that I have the wherewithal to use the knowledge. I absolutely love that I can return to this book again and again, not just a one off appointment (anyone else suffer with memory problems?!) whilst Dr Gretchen’s bright, happy, encouraging manner is a breath of fresh air. I believe every single person ever diagnosed should be given a copy of this! It’s a far cry from when I was diagnosed 21 years ago, when they just shrugged their shoulders and said ‘there’s nothing you can do’. Thank you Dr Gretchen! You are amazing!

A wonderful practical guide
A wonderful practical guide to take in every day, not only for someone with MS but anyone that is neuro divergent or has certain other disabilities the little but often and listening to your own body is something I have a failure to do with my MS.
