About this listen
With an exclusive new bonus chapter...from Adam's POV
Based on the available information and the data hitherto collected, my hypothesis is that the further I stay away from love, the better off I will be.
When a fake relationship between scientists meets the irresistible force of attraction, it throws one woman's carefully calculated theories on love into chaos.
As a third-year Ph.D. candidate, Olive Smith doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships but her best friend does, and that's what got her into this situation. Convincing Anh that Olive on her way to a happily ever after was always going to be tough, scientists require proof. So, like any self-respecting woman, Olive panics and kisses the first man she sees.
That man is none other than Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor and well-known ass. Which is why Olive is positively floored when he agrees to keep her charade a secret and be her fake boyfriend. But when a big science conference goes haywire and Adam surprises her again with his unyielding support (and his unyielding abs), their little experiment feels dangerously close to combustion.
Olive soon discovers that the only thing more complicated than a hypothesis on love is putting her own heart under the microscope.

This needs to be a movie
So much better than “The hating game”. This book truly deserves a movie adaptation and If I’m not a member of that production I will be truly heartbroken 😭
It was exactly the type of light hearted fluff that makes you’re heart full of happiness.

Such a great read.
I completed this book in three days, it’s so well written, I loved the characters, the fact it’s set around science. I can’t wait for the next chapter in Olive’s and Adam’s story.

LOVEDDDDDD IT!!!!!!!
The love hypothesis was my first book by Ali Hazelwood and omg I enjoyed it. I honestly couldn’t stop listening. It’s so cliché but also brilliant. The narration by Callie Dalton is absolutely sport on, she’s soooo good.
I can’t recommend this book enough, it’s such a feel good book. Loved it :)

5 stars!
I freaking loved this book!
First of all, the audio narration was amazing, seriously great stuff.
secondly, I loved the characters, Olive was smart and likable and Adam was just perfection. He was strong and quiet and kind, I was so so so rooting for him.
Finally, this story has some of my favourite tropes and they were executed so well:
1. Growly guy and sunshine girl.
2. Fake dating.
If you haven't read this yet, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Where do I find an Adam Carlsen???
First of all, where do I find an Adam Carlsen? Tall, broody, arsehole with dark hair, perfection! Especially because he's the right type of arsehole, he's an arsehole with a good heart. That's the most important part, by the end of the book when I'd learnt more about him I'd come to respect him.
Olive Smith is also the kind of woman I'd love to be friends with, she's strong, smart and funny. She didn't allow all the horrible things in life to knock her down which made me respect her. I really wanted to give her a hug through most of the book. That girl deserved the world. I really connected with her, when she was sad I was sad, when she was happy I was happy.
When everything was falling apart, as they do in books, I was so emotionally invested that I had to pause the book and walk away. This just shows how good the writing by Ali Hazelwood was and how well Callie Dalton's narrating was as well. I just loved every minute of it.

Not bad but not amazing
I enjoyed it, I liked it as much as The Hating Game and The Rebound. There is room for improvement however it's a generic romance with a predictable ending.

Sweet story - worth the hype
I DEMOLISHED the story within a few days listening at every chance. I decided to read given the hype I had heard for the book and it was worth it. The focus around academia was unique and though the story was somewhat predictable it was an enjoyable, addictive read.
