Summary

I thought I was a useless witch whose only weapons were a switchblade and a mean disposition.

I thought Zak was a rogue druid with waning power and an alluring aura that's impossible for me to resist.

And I thought my fae familiar was a harmless shape-shifter who chose me because I'm "mildly interesting".

But nothing is what I thought. Nothing is what it seems. Including me.

I need answers, and I need them fast - before I sink any deeper in the quagmire of secrets I've fallen into.

The Crystal Druid's. The Winter King's.

And my own.

a strong second part

as before i warn that this is not the apropriate place to start the series.

the story is primaraly a jurney of self-discovery for the POW carakter rose. what little action there is are used well and the main source of sension is dialoge.
Saber helpfully points out important conclutions later but you can still find them yourself if you are paying atention due to the series strong consistent fiction.
As before the book explores the spiritalus class this time with a fokus on druids and the ways they function.
the fey also get a fair amount of time and are with 1 exeption full charakters in their own right. i woud even go as far as to say ryker has managed to surpas lielethiet as my favorite fey charakter.
lolakai fair less well, seeming to simply "be there" but i suspekt she will get more fokus in the nekst part.

the naration is as always exelent but she simply cannot portray zakariah nearly as well as he came off in klits book.

if you are interested in either saber, zakariah, ryker, fey or druidry this one is well worth your time.

Badly edited

Absolutely great story and performance, but the first letter(s) of lines are often missing, presumably because of sloppy editing. Still very much worth it if you like the series, though.
