Summary

A six week Artist's Way Program from legendary author Julia Cameron.

From the best-selling author of The Artist's Way comes a new, transformative guide to deeper, more profound listening and creativity. Over six weeks, listeners will be given the tools to become better listeners - to their environment, the people around them and themselves. The reward for learning to truly listen is immense. As we learn to listen, our attention is heightened and we gain healing, insight, clarity. But above all, listening creates connections and ignites a creativity that will resonate through every aspect of our lives.

Each week, listeners will be challenged to expand their ability to listen in a new way, beginning by listening to their environment and culminating in learning to listen to silence. These weekly practices open up a new world of connection and fulfilment. In a culture of bustle and constant sound, The Listening Path is a deeply necessary reminder of the power of truly hearing.

Writing great- narration too hypnotic

I love all of Julia’s work however I find the narration way too fast, without pause for breath and in an hypnotic tone that feels like you’re having a subliminal message constantly bombarded into your psyche. It’s made me stop the audible on numerous occasions to have a break from the voice. I always go back to the book. It’s a shame as it detracts from the overall experience.

Disappointing

I loved Julia’s The Artists Way. Unfortunately this book almost seemed to be written by a different, much less thoughtful writer. Chapters get shorter as the writer gets more bored with her work and her ideas become rushed and repeated. Don’t buy this book. Buy The Artist’s Way instead.

Overly self-indulgent narrative but a few good tips buried in there

Found myself wanting the author to stop waffling on so much. Helpful tips and advice get lost in pointless anecdotes.
