About this listen
Tommy Carter was just minding his own business, taking out the trash from his job at a local bar and grill, when he noticed the man hiding behind the dumpster. He couldn’t get a good look at the guy, and the less he can find out about him, the more curious he becomes. He’d lived through difficult circumstances in his past, and decides if he can help, he will. Tommy doesn’t have a lot, but he has a heart of gold that won’t let him walk away from someone he knows needs a hand up.
Zane Martin was left wandering the streets of Sacramento in a haze after tragedy struck. He’s afraid to trust anyone and suffering from a lack of food and adequate clothing to keep him alive and well against the weather about to hit the area. He’s not sure he can trust Tommy, but he wants to. There has to be one good person out there, and maybe he’s just found him.
A story of helping when you can, and accepting help when it’s offered.

as great as the ebook, i love the story
The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

A Good deed
A good deed
Seriously never underestimate where you can end up, through no fault of your own. This book is so well written and brings home how delicately balanced our lives are.
If you can always pay it forward, do a good deed or just plain help someone out.
I loved Tommy and Zane's characters, the flaws, the positives, everything. The trust is impressive from both sides—a must-read, in my opinion.
Excellent narration from Michael Wetherbee. Very clear and easy to listen to. Although, like usual, I sped up the audio, and I listened at 1.40 speed on audible, but I do prefer all my audios to be a little quicker.

Prepare for an emotional sucker punch!
Story: it’s short, but it’s so packed with all the feels! A heartwrenching story of getting Lost and falling through the cracks, of hope and helping hands. The romance part is only a small bit of this one, but the tale is no less powerful because of that!
Narration: A great soulful voice. I think it matched the story really well!

This story was super sweet and endearing!
It’s about helping others without expecting anything in return, and Tommy finding love in the process.
It’s very touching and well developed; the characters are super lovable and the whole mood of the book is totally uplifting!
This is the first audiobook I listened to narrated by Michael Wetherbee, and I just loved it!

Emotional & Heartwrenching!
WOW .....Love....Love the book and the audio is a pull on the heartstrings I shed a tear for the two amazing and special boys Tommy & Zane one caring and giving with a heart of gold and the other due to tragedy is left on the streets with no one to turn too scared, lonely doesn't know who to trust until they meet and with a helping hand they both find what they've been looking for it's so powerful.
the narration Michael Wetherbee is new to me but he's spot on with this brings out all the emotions it was amazing . ❤️❤️
