About this listen
The final book of the smash-hit Wayward Pines trilogy from the New York Times bestselling author of Dark Matter, Recursion, and Upgrade.
What’s inside was a nightmare. What’s outside is a thousand times worse.
Welcome to Wayward Pines, the last town.
Secret Service agent Ethan Burke arrived in Wayward Pines, Idaho, three weeks ago. In this town, people are told who to marry, where to live, where to work. No one is allowed to leave; even asking questions can get you killed.
But Ethan has discovered the astonishing secret of what lies beyond the electrified fence that surrounds Wayward Pines and protects it from the terrifying world beyond. And now that secret is about to come storming through the fence to wipe out this last, fragile remnant of humanity.
The Last Town at last pitches Ethan Burke and his fellow residents into all-out war against the forces outside the town’s gates – and in doing so delivers every bit the riotously horrific, breathlessly action-packed conclusion that the Wayward Pines trilogy deserves.

Really enjoyed
Great story with twist and turns. The narrator kept it interesting and engaging for the whole series.

Great ending, but sad it's ended
Enjoyable conclusion to this trilogy, though it does leave room for the tale to continue. There were unexpected twists that I did not predict.

Brilliant trilogy
The narrator’s female voice was extremely annoying, it was hard to listen to at times. That’s the only problem I have.

5* for the whole series
An amazing end to an amazing series (would definitely not be opposed to a prequel or sequel though!)
Truly edge of your seat stuff for the entire book
Yes there are some parts that don't entirely make sense but the story as a whole is strong enough for you to suspend disbelief.
I was disappointed at the change in voice actor at first but by the end I hardly noticed and the narration was very strong (apart from the female voices but I think that's a problem for a lot of male actors)
Overall I was sad for it to finish and I think all 3 books in this series have been as strong as each other

Really enjoyed it
Lots of action in this one, however the ending was slightly disappointing. Wish it could have gone on just a little more to confirm what ultimately happened. If you enjoyed the other books in the series you're sure to love this one. Just imagine if he writes a fourth book!

Great
But not quite as good as the first two books. Still an excellent trilogy. Blake crouch has got some imagination.

Love a bit of utopian/dystopian drama
Great book. Worked nicely into an audiobook. A few great twists in the tale. Very well performed

Excellent series. I’ve just discovered this author and will delight in listening to his other works.
Very good. A+ series. I only wish there were a book four. Buy today. Thoroughly recommend.

A story about hope.
I always remember a quote from a wonderful John Carpenter film called ‘Starman’ “Do you know what I like most about humanity…. You are at your best when things are worse”.
This trilogy especially its conclusion echoes that sentiment perfectly.
Blake Crouch is another league of author and somehow taps into the possibilities of where humanity could stand in the distant future.
The trilogy is beautifully narrated with heart and soul.
As a reader and audible listener I just wanted to thank this same narrator who I’ve spent many an hour listening to. You brought life and a heartbeat to the residents of Wayward Pines and it’s central character of Ethan Burke will resonate with me for quite a while to come.
Thank you

Gripping story
Loved this trilogy! I find the narrator really good at conveying the characters but speaks too slowly so have to listen on 1.2 speed. I hope there is a 4th book I want to know what happens to them!
